“July 4th Family Weekend Getaway”
Reviewed 19 July 2013

This was our second trip to Camp Jellystone and we had a great time!
The cabins are very clean and the camp ground is convenient to attractions, etc.
They have added a splash zone for the kids, which was perfect in the hot sun.
We will return.

This was our second trip to this campground. This time we roughed it in a tent. We chose the deluxe tent site with pavilion , which was nice, especially when it rained. Overall, good experience here. The price to rent golf carts is on the steep side . 200 for 5 days ! Be prepared to walk a lot if u choose not to rent one. My only major complaint was the bath houses were nasty. They only clean them once in morning and once in evening and in between those times they are filthy ! I mean like toilet paper, feces on floor, hair all over the showers , mud and bugs in the sinks. I don't expect the bathrooms to be immaculate ,but they were down right gross! I think a 8 pm closing time for pool in the middle of summer is early, maybe a extension until 9 should be considered? The staff were always helpful and courteous though.

1- service was unpleasant.
2- we were a minority.
3- too croweded and next to highway; too loud.
4- had to paid $5 for Boo Boo Aqua center which was over croweded and pool water was yellow/green.
5- too many Mosquitos that not even light, candles and sprays worked.
6- left early because it was unbearable.

A great place to stay for the whole family. The water park and family activities are great! Very friendly staff. Fair prices in the camp store which is nice if you have left something at home. issues with the resort was the cleanliness overall. The bath house is only cleaned twice a day so by mid morning they are trashed and almost unusable. Use them early before everybody else is my suggestion. All the sites are crowded so if you plan to just stay at your site this is not the place to stay.

Room Tip: Stay if your purpose is to camp at a waterpark and have a great time with you entire family!

This is our second visit to this place. And there were some upgrades from last year. The water play area is a great addition. Friendly staff, just need to be familiar with the campsite sizes. We prefer the red carpet sites. They are alot larger sites and they also have have cement pads. Have not been in any of the cabins but looking from outside it looks cool. Fiurth of July week looks very busy. The pool gets very crowded but everybody seemed to be having fun.

This was a first for us camping at this yogi campground. We camp in a 34 ft trailer. We stayed on Mountain View Rd and had absolutely no view at all except the cabins in front of us. It was very disappointing considering when walking the campsite all other sites had beautiful views. With that being said. I found this campground very fun for kids and adults. We enjoyed the laser tag and jumping pillow the pool and golf. All were fun and not over crowded. We camped in the end of June so expected the place to be packed. Staff was very friendly. We had to contact them for our cable not working and they were friendly and quickly sent someone out( finding a problem on our part not theirs ) The bathrooms in the front were gross and not stocked. The pet trail was a tiny patch of grass that was in desperate need of a mowing. Overall I would recommend camping here with family. Quiet hours were enforced I didn't hear much after 11 and we stayed 3 nights. I know next time when making reservations to request a different spot for a better view because this campground has stunning views that just were not visible from our campground.

We just spent three nights in a cottage. We got there early and they gave us temporary tag to go check out the campground, but within minutes we were called that our cottage was ready. We also got wristbands for the amenities. The cottage was very clean, I always check around and there was very little dust and only 2 dead mosquitoes. We were surprised also that we had a TV in the bedroom, we thought there was only one in the kitchen. We also saw an Ehrlich bug man there one day spraying around the buildings, so they do try to keep bugs out. We only had a few flies come in when opening the door, and there is a fly swatter in the kitchen. You are in the woods and around trees there will be bugs. We loved the pools and new water splash zone, along with all the other fun things to do. We went to the Wal-mart up the road to get our groceries. We used the grill to cook one night and made a fire in the pit one night to roast marshmallows, our son loved it! Also went to Luray Caverns one day, it is really close by too.
