I had dinner here with my husband on a weeknight in October. We decided to give this place a try because we had a $25 gift certificate from Restaurant.com for Dan's Steakhouse (minimum purchase of $50). We were not disappointed. We both ordered the filet mignon. For my side dish I had the baked sweet potato and hubs had fries. I had garden salad and hubs had Caesar salad. Bread/bun/dinner roll came with our order and this was buttery, light and delicious. Our fillet mignon ($19) was cooked perfectly - rare, but warm in the middle - with lovely grill marks on the outside. It was also very tender and well rested, no runny juices. Hubs thought it wasn't juicy enough but I thought it was plenty juicy. My salad was crisp, cold and crunchy and I liked the Italian dressing. Hubs said his Caesar wasn't crisp, kinda limp, like it had been tossed earlier and then sat. The sprinkling of cinnammon on my sweet potato was a bit too liberal (probably about 2 tablespoons of that stuff on there), but the tuber itself was baked perfectly. It was sweet, buttery and light. We both agreed the fries were some of the best we have had. These were thick cut, crisp on the outside and moist & fluffy on the inside. Tasted like fresh potatoes too. Yum! The portions were just right (we're not a big fan of supersizes or oversizes). The total was $50, and after applying our $25 gift certificate we ended up paying $30 altogether.
