This unique shop is a store NOT to be missed when in Luray. The owner Susan Rocke, greeted us at the door and was quite helpful as we shopped for some gift items. It's clear Shenandoah Moon is her passion. When entering the store you will be overwhelmed by the creative and colorful displays. I loved the batik items from Bali as well as the novel scarves, and one of a kind jewelry. I could have spent hours in this wonderful spot.

This is my favorite store in Luray! This isn't just a bead store. There is beatiful homemade jewlery, scarves, clothing, pursesm and accesories and all kinds of other knick knacks. Is it a very cute and fun place always so fun! I try to make it to the shop once a year. They also offer jewerly making classes which will expand your skills if you into that! The shop owner is very helpful and super nice. This is a must for all women you will definatly find something in this store you will love!

Shenandoah Moon fills a much need niche in and near Shenandoah Valley & beyond for anyone looking to create or buy one-of-a-kind wearable works of art. This store is not for the average Wal-Martian. It carries absolutely gorgeous & unique hand crafted clothing, jewelry, hats, purses, scarves and other fashion accessories, as well as those special fibers & beads needed to create your own.
The space itself is a wonderful combination of primitive/rustic, cozy, and intimate while offering plenty of light and room to shop. Baskets spill over will colorful wool yarns. The counter displays of jewelry dazzle & beckon, and the assortment of beads & accoutrements for jewelry making are plentiful.

For beaders, there are also classes and studio space for everyone from beginners to advanced artisans. There, you can take classes, enjoy the companionship of other artists, buy supplies, learn new skills and participate in the growing arts community in Luray.

I'm not a knitter or jewelry maker, but Shenandoah Moon is a must-visit on my forays to Luray.

Stayed in Shenandoah this past May. Drove thru the town of Luray. Came upon this shop. The proprietor and other customers were very friendly and helpful. It felt like a craft show when I walked in. There was jewelry and some clothing items. There was an area where you could pick the stones & beads that you liked. I believe there were classes available to teach how to make jewelry. Definitely worth a stop, especially if you like "hippy-ish" type things.

The shop was suppose to have already been closed but we walked in anyway and the owner greeted us and made us feel welcome and not rushed at all. Great jewelry, handmade by local artists as well as scarves, cute sweaters and sun type dresses and shirts. The owner also teaches classes and will do jewelry type making parties for ladies nights. I would highly recommend checking it out for anyone, men you can find a great little gift here as well, all type of price points so stop in!!! Also lotions and a few items for men.
