This was our B&B for Shenandoah Nat'l Park & Luray Caverns. Our hosts Hank & Wiley made us feel so welcome like longtime friends. Their breakfasts were yummy times 10. The view from their porch was magical - sitting in a rocking chair sipping coffee watching deer, hawks & birds while cows softly mooed in the farm next door. We didn't want to leave! We're already planning how to include this in our next trip.

Piney Hill provided superb services for the comfort of their guest. We stayed in the Rosebud Cottage, we can not put into words how quiet and restful the cottage was. The innkeepers know how to provide the greatest services to their guest. New receipe of cookies in the room everynight. Breakfast's are beyond anything we have experienced. Everything is fresh, "DELICIOUS" and abundant, you do not leave the table hungry. If you are looking for five star lodging, PineY Hill is above and beyond in our book.

Room Tip: Splendid view of mountains from Rosebud Cottage

Hank and Wiley have done it again, made our stay at Piney Hill Incredible! Such a comfortable and nomey atmosphere and the breakfests are to die for. We especially enjoy being a guinea pigs for Hank, who loves to try new recipes. We volunteered to try two new ones made with pineapple, a pineapple french toast and pineapple coconut cake, both delicious!

Their knowledge of the area and things to do is awesome. They never seemto run out of ideas.

Steve and I hope to be going back for years to come.

Thanks Hank and Wiley.

Simple words cannot describe the excellent experience we had at Piney Hill B&B Rosebud Cottage. The minute we arrived Hank and Wiley made us feel like we were friends forever. Their attention to detail is absolutely astounding. The grounds, home, cottage and views are beautiful and decorated perfectly with classy country charm! These guys are the best hosts anyone could ask for the world over. They were extremely attentive and even readjusted our itineraries for us so that we could make the best of the sunshine during a stay that could have been ruined by rainy weather. The food was plentiful and absolutely out of this world! Their knowledge of the area is amazing and their recommendations for restaurants, things to do and places to see are top notch. Everyone we talked to in the area knew of their excellent reputation and are highly respected. You cannot miss this experience and the Rosebud Cottage affords an excellent romantic getaway for newlyweds, couples celebrating anniversaries (like us our 25th) or just plain rekindling relationships. As the title states, this is without a doubt the best place to stay in the area and likely the whole East Coast!

Room Tip: The Rosebud Cottage is an awesome private retreat!

We've only ever stayed at one other bed and breakfast before, so we don't have much to compare it to, but we suspect it would be hard to top Piney Hill. Not only was the food delicious and the innkeepers extremely friendly, but they made sure we knew about Luray and the things to do and see in the area. We're not the most thorough planners, so having their suggestions was really valuable. Oh, and don't forget your bathing suit for the hot tub!

Hank and Wiley are wonderfully warm and friendly hosts and have beautifully restored the house. Breakfast each morning is tasty and generous and served at a communal table with the other guests, which creates a nice atmosphere where everyone swaps tales of what they did the day before. We did some great hikes in the nearby mountains and also visited the nearby Luray Caverns which though crowded were well worth seeing. The porch is a great place to sit and read and enjoy the view. We'll be back!

The Rosebud Cottage at Piney Hill was a special treat for our anniversary. The cottage was clean and comfortable. The breakfasts were outstanding. The hosts were very helpful without being intrusive. We really appreciated their guidance for local restaurants and sites. We were interested in enjoying some natural scenery, and the hosts provided excellent info for appropriate hikes. All in all....escaping to the Rosebud Cottage was a breath of fresh air.
