“Too good to be true!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 August 2013

My wife and I were planning our trip to Virginia which included a visit to Luray Caverns and a stayover locally. In looking for a place to stay, I noticed that there weren't too many choices that appealed to us, but was drawn immediately to South Court's fabolous reviews and can tell you, they are all true.

Where do I begin? The house and property are lovely; the rooms are beautiful, clean and well-kept; the neighborhood is nice and quiet and our innkeeper and host, Adelheid, was most gracious and kind. We stayed in the Turquoise Room which was absolutely beautiful, clean, and we loved the jacuzzi tub:) The next morning, Adelheid prepared a wonderful and plentiful breakfast.

We wanted for nothing on this stay, will certainly stay there again, and highly, highly recommend The South Court Inn.

Room Tip: The Turquoise Room, first floor, large, and has a jacuzzi tub is the one we stayed in and had a wond...

Wonderful!!!! Mike and Aidelheid were great hosts and made you feel at home. The breakfast was unsurpassed and the best I have ever had at a B&B. The house had a lot of character. They preserved the 1875 feel. One of the best surprises is a coffee tray waiting outside your door as a nice wake up. A must visit!!!!!

This place is great! Breakfast is awesome, and the hospitality is really something you don't see at a hotel. The house is very historic, and really gives you a chance to enjoy getting away. We came in from DC for a four-day weekend, and really enjoyed the peace and quiet in Luray.

We enjoyed an amazing couple of nights in this beautiful Victorian home. Food was FANTASTIC and rooms were clean, comfortable and tasteful. We wanted for nothing and the hiking/caverns add-on was well worth the money. Little touches like the coffee tray in the morning and home baked treats made the stay extra special. The owners are truly hosts, not just proprietors. If you are planning a trip to the area, you can't go wrong here.

If there is one B&B that knows how to run a business, this is IT! My boyfriend and I stayed here for 1 night, but quickly wished it was for a longer stay. The owner, Adelheid, was gracious and inviting and really goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Everything from the the snacks, available at any hour, to the chocolates on the bed, to the amazing homemade (everything is homemade) breakfast...to the beautiful and well-kept grounds and home and rooms...need I say more?! If Luray is your destination...or even if it isn't....make a point to stay here...you won't regret it!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Africa Room, which is newly named, and felt like King and Queen! The bed was ginor...

Good place to stay in Luray. Close to the caverns. Breakfast was delicious. My compliments to Adelheid. The house is really beatiful. We stayed for two nights to see the caverns before we drove up to the north part of the Skyline Drive.

My husband and I loved our stay at the South Court Inn. Adelheid and Mike were very welcoming and we felt at home. The small touches from the welcome sign outside to the snacks left in the room and sunroom were great. They were also very accommodating with special requests. We will definitely return!
