“Great family outing”
Reviewed 3 August 2014 via mobile

First family hike! Was just perfect. Ages 11,14,15. Had a great time. The views were great. Took us 2 hours from parking lot & back. Met some really nice people along the trail.

“Not just a nature trail”
Reviewed 1 August 2014

Don't let the classification of nature trail dissuade you from this hike. Both the summit trail and the cliff hike are beautiful hikes with outstanding lookouts over the Shenandoah valley. Both are accessible from the Stoneyman point of entrance and can be done together. We did these trails in stead of Rose River Falls on an iffy weather day and had no regrets. Lots of rock scrambling at the top for fun.

“Stoney Man Mtn Hike”
Reviewed 30 July 2014

Views views and more views. This is a 4.7 mile trial and is rated as a 1 which is easy. I’m in good shape and thought that it was a 2 and there are places were a walking stick or pole will come in handy. Figure on 3+ hours. Go an enjoy the Shenandoah Park.

“Stony Man”
Reviewed 13 July 2014

Great hike with beautiful views. This hike was easy and not very long. Families with young children who can hike a couple of miles would find this to be a great one while in Shenandoah! We did this one three years ago when the boys were younger.
