Coming from DC, the location of the B&B was not too far, and yet it seemed like we were states away. We enjoyed the crisp clean air and seeing stars at night! There are two houses for the Mayneview, and we stayed in the Greentree a block or 2 down the road from the main house. The view from the main house was much nicer, but it was stressed that we had access to both houses/decks etc. Paul was very helpful in making a dinner recommendations when we first arrived. Although there were 2 other couples, we never saw them during our one night stay, only at breakfast the next morning. The house was very quiet. The house was not very secluded (close neighbors/in a neighborhood/directly facing the street), which I was hesitant about at first. However, everything was very quiet and it did end up feeling more private than it was.
At night, we took advantage of the outdoor hottub, towels were provided and we took down the giant comfy oversized robes provided to us in our room to keep us warm. - they were awesome!
The room -(we stayed in the Maple Room) was very comfortable. It had a mounted flat screen TV and DVD player, which was great - we brought dvds (there were also some provided in the main room downstairs), and curled up by the "fire" (an electronic fireplace, strictly for ambiance) and watched a movie.
In the morning - breakfast was great! Sally made a delicious coffee cake, and Anne, the woman who handles breakfast provided us fruit and amazing fluffy pancakes topped with strawberries and blueberries. Also - sausage and hot coffee. Very impressed! Anne was very nice and accommodating.
Upon checkout Paul provided us with a winery map and made some recommendations.
For the price and everything the B&B entailed - I would definately recommend it!!
