Room was perfectly clean, staff extremely friendly and helpful, rates affordable for a family. Would prefer a larger bathroom, though. Single sink area outside of closed toilet/bath room. Not large enough for our family of five. (offer rollaway bed for extra child) Bathroom quite small for changing in and only closed off area in room. Decor dated, but not bad. Rest of room size average. Loved mini fridge/freezer and microwave at no extra charge. Tv nice with many channels including HBO. Free wifi worked great, easy to connect. Pool clean and convenient, kids loved it. Was impressed with the soundproofing. Hardly heard anyone walking outside our room or in adjacent rooms. Had a baby next door on last night and was worried about crying, but could only hear it faintly when awake and sitting against the wall adjacent to that room. Stayed on lower level and never heard anything above. Restaurant only serves breakfast, but very good and you get 20% off as a guest. So good the locals come to eat regularly. Within walking distance to many good local restaurants (Uncle Buck's was our favorite), movie theater, bowling alley, and quaint downtown shops. Short (5 minutes at most) drive to grocery store, gas, convenience store, fast food (McDonalds, Burger King, Taco Bell, Hardee's, Pizza Hut, probably more), and Luray Caverns. The caverns have added a couple kid friendly activities recently, ropes and a maze, discounted if you pay with caverns purchase. We didn't have time, but looked fun. Hotel also conveniently located to Skyline Drive, easy ride up the mountain on rt. 211, about 15 - 20 minutes. Stayed 3 nights and only complaint is bathroom size for our larger party. Would definitely return.

Room Tip: Stayed on lower level, close to lobby, vending machines/ice, pool, room 102

I can't say much - I didn't like it and I didn't feel comfortable, it was not clean.
It's so expensive for that it's such a run down place... the room wasn't clean, very small and cramped. I would not come back. There are better places to sleep at in Luray.

Ours was not clean. Mildew on ceiling and floor in bathroom. Cobwebs in ceiling corners. Simple things that a vacuum and a little scrubbing with bleach could take care of. Very dated, but don't mind that. Pool is small but so is motel. Also kept smelling cigarette smoke through vents, not sure if it was room above us or outside. We reserved 2 nights, left after one. Ladies at front desk...very nice...get the cleaning crew to be more thorough and it would be a decent place to stay.

We stayed here for one night while passing through from SC to PA. No doubt, this is not a new hotel nor a five star Hilton or Marriott but for the price and the purpose, this was a great choice. We stayed at the Days Inn closer to the interstate a few years back and this was definitely a better hotel. The room was clean although dated but did have a nice flat screen TV. The pool was excellent as was the restaurant for breakfast. Our only complaint was there were only three sets of towels. We did have some flies in the room but I attribute this to the weather. After all, this is an outside corridor hotel, so when you open the door insects can fly in. All in all, I can recommend this hotel, especially if your kids are looking for an outdoor pool.

Best Western was the hotel that had gotten the best reviews of all the hotels in Luray with a pool. When we first arrived, the front desk clerk was as stupid as could be not knowing any information. Fortunately, he got us the key to our room and we checked in. For a one day stay, the room looked perfectly nice. The bathrooms were small and I prefer a sink in the bathroom. We approached the pool which was empty at the time and enjoyed ourselves. There was a small Italian restaurant two minutes away from the hotel that we unfortunately didn't get to try. Best Western wasn't far from either Shenandoah national park nor Luray Caverns. Checking out was simple and we were on the road right away. If ever in Luray, stay at Best Western!

Just a 2 night stay- wanted a pool! which was great! But as in other reviews, there was a huge fly problem. The bathroom had old water damage/and there was mold smell. Small room- small sink area. The staff were nice, not their fault the building needs bathrooms updated !!!! Had tv issue and they resolved promptly.

Room Tip: pool was nice !! We were the only 2 out there !!!!
