we went there with children and enjoyed the house and the property.
The plus were the clean well kept house with no other property close by so you did have the real feeling of being in the country side. The house has 3 nice bedrooms. 2 upstairs and 1 downstairs.
The minus were that there is only one bathroom and if you have 4 people and 2 kids like us in can get chaotic. The shower was nice and working well but the bathtub was not working. The owner mentioned that he will have to call a plumber to fix it.
The total cost was about $450 for 2 nights in June so a bit toward the expensive considering the location.
However, the kids enjoyed running around outside and we had a nice visit to the caverns.
The day after we went to lake arrowhead but I have that it was a bit disappointing. The beach is very small and it is fenced in and you need to pay for the entry and it opened at 12PM.
I should add that the property is very close to the train tracks and depending on your sensitivity or interest on this you might likes it or not. We saw about 3-4 trains through the day and one at night.

When my family and I arrived at the cottage we were greeted by the owners son. He showed us around the property and had all the comforts of home provided. Kyle was very friendly and made feel right at home. The property is very well maintained and cleaned. The cottage is conveniently located to Luray Caverns, Skyline Drive, and grocery stores. We enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit and firewood, and the board games. There was a TV in the living room along with Directv, a DVD player and DVD's, and free wifi. My family and I didn't watch time because we were really enjoying the time together and the outdoor amenities. The owner Gerald and his son Kyle stopped by during our stay to make sure that everything was okay and that we didn't need anything.
