Delicious meal at a great value! Love the fact that you can bring your own wine for a very reasonable corkage fee! We will definitely return to this beautiful hotel/restaurant!!

“Simply Perfect”
Reviewed 12 January 2014 via mobile

We had dinner Friday night to celebrate my wife's birthday. There could not have been a better experience. The decor and atmosphere made the evening very elegant. The piano was loud enough to enjoy but not overbearing which allowed for normal conversation volume level. Our meals were amazing, both the filet and the portobello mushroom. The pace that each course was served offered ample time to enjoy and converse without feeling rushed. My wife did the wine pairing with her meal and greatly enjoyed the selections. Every aspect of this experience was spectacular.

“Nice dinner”
Reviewed 29 December 2013 via mobile

My guy and I were staying a the Inn and decided to partake on their fixed price menu for a celebratory evening after getting engaged. We made reservations ahead of time and noted that we would have one vegetarian. When we showed up for dinner we were promptly seated, and the service was prompt. We enjoyed the menu (although the portions for the vegetarian options were substantially smaller than my meat eater's dishes). The waiter made sure that or food was delivered prior to the other large parties being served and they even boxed our dessert to take back to our room. It was pleasant and would probably eat here in the future if we came back to the Inn. The mussels and rockfish were a hit!

“Super Thanksgiving Meal in Elegance”
Reviewed 30 November 2013

The Mimslyn Inn is a beautiful historic hotel. Circa '31 is its primary restaurant. We ate Thanksgiving dinner there and enjoyed every bite from the delectable pumpkin bisque to the cheesecake with a carmelized coating on top. We went non-traditional and had their rockfish for our main course. It was well-cooked and perfectly seasoned. Service was impeccable. The ambiance of a formal majestic dining room was a real treat. Definitely worth the visit.

“Excellent wine pairing prix fixe”
Reviewed 25 November 2013 via mobile

At the suggestion of our hosts at Piney Hill B&B, we had the wine pairing prix fixe dinner this past weekend. The mood is set when you walk into the dining room. It beckons you to an age gone by, with high ceilings, lovely antique chandeliers, dark wood furniture, and servers in black tie. Our server, Stehpanie, was extremely knowledgeable of the featured wines, and provided excellent service. We chose to have the Caesar salad, which is prepared tableside by the dining room manager. The preparation was entertaining, and the finished product ranked among the best Caesar salads we've ever had. My husband selected the filet for his entrée, ordering it rare. It arrived cooked perfectly, as did my seared rockfish. Overall, an extremely enjoyable meal, with very palatable regional wines. We will definitely return.
