We ate at the Larkspur Cafe several times during our 4-5 day stay in Sitka. It's located at the end of the main street in a building shared with a radio studio. It's casual, as you'd expect in Sitka, with excellent locally prepared food. We especially enjoyed the chowder. One night there was some entertainment by a local guitarist/singer and the cafe was filled with locals as well.
We talked to the owner who owned the Larkspur and like many Alaskans her background includes working on and then owning a fishing boat. A very friendly and interesting person.
We'd definitely recommend the Larkspur to anyone who visits Sitka.
