Didn't make it inside the building, but the trails through the forests and the totem poles were amazing. Easy hiking, well maintained trails. The tall spruce forests mixed with alders and maples was magical. Hiked at sunset and watched the light bath the totems (stunning) and the sun settle into the waters of Sitka Sound.

Totems are everywhere. Moss hangs like silver threads from the trees. This is a hauntingly beautiful place that really gets you in touch with the spirit of Alaska. Some of our group stayed in Sitka to shop. To each his own, I suppose. We held hands and walked among magical things.

can't go wrong, always beautiful - love the new totem pole at the entrance. Alittle sad that it had changed and the story of Sitka isn't inside anymore, now it's on slides. But Wonderful place to visit

Visited the Sitka National Park and the Bishop House that was located in the park. The Park Ranger was excellent. The weather was chilly and wet, misty most of the day, but still enjoyed the hike through the rainforest and the ranger was very helpful in describing all the natural sights. We saw a bald eagle sitting on a tree, beautiful. The totem pole collection was excellent. They are awesome.

Beautiful quaint city, so much history and shops to visit. It is so nice and clean.

There were a lot of very tall totem's in this park. Very interesting what the different designs and height illustrate to the person who purchased the pole. These poles have an astounding history that is well worth a visit.
