“Fascinating chance to see totems and learn about them”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 August 2014

This was a great chance to see old and new totems up close and personal. Combined with the interpretive info that is available, this is a must-see for anyone who wants to learn about the culture of the native peoples.

“Totems and Trails”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 August 2014

The oldest totems are in an environmentally controlled area in the Visitors Center. Movie worth watching. Easy hiking trails, and info along the path helpful.

“Fun little museum and trails, totems”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 August 2014

Great little museum worth the walk. We did a loop of taxi to/from the Fortress of the Bear, drop off at Raptor center then walk to Sitka National Historic Park and Sheldon Jackson Museum. Made for a great afternoon. I particularly liked the video and info on the totems. The park rangers were very friendly. and it's free!

“Beautiful trails”

Wonderful walk and interesting Tlinget information . Take time to take in the scenery. Be sure to have your phone with you to access information at each totem pole.

“Plan for a ranger led tour”

with Ryan if he is available. one of the best Park Service led tours we have taken. Totems are amazing and it helps to learn about their purposes.
