The Pioneer Bar, is a place unto itself, been here for years, and I think every sea captain that has ever landed in Sitka, over the last 50 years, has come in for a pint of Ale.. this place is steeped in history, and has the ambience, and photos to prove it...truly a one of a kind experience

One of the better bars in town. If you don't mind seeing dirty fisherman then this is the place for you. Weekends the younger crowd shows up but is the most packed place on the weekends! Pool, music and great service. They have good munchies too! It is really cool to see all the pictures of fishing vessels all over the walls too from almost every year. Go check it out!

gat place to stop for a drink. If you speak Alaskan of course, as this is THE place for locals to have a beer (or 2, or 5) and watch ESPN and comment loud on whatever. Friendly atmosphere, decent prices.

A traditional local hangout, this is a great place to get a feel of how Alaska really is when the tourists aren't around. A working person's bar with good drinks, good service and good prices, it doesn't take many visits for the staff to recognize you and know what you need.
