We live only a few blocks away. As parks go it's about average size, but it's certainly nothing near say Central Park in NYC. It has many paths, straddles a local museum, houses a city pool and has a handicap accessible tree house. It abuts a path that trails along a rather impressive gorge, and passes by a small waterfall along the way. There are a number of gazebos available (for rent) for events, and there's nearly an event each week of the summer. There are no ball fields, but there are lots of trees. If you're in Scranton, and are looking for a place to cook out, play catch and just rest under a tree then this is for you.

Spring day, little chilly so we didn't get to explore as much as we'd like. From first impressions I'd say very nice. However, didn't get to see all. Its a shame the zoo is left abandoned. Little eye sore, but the rest makes for a nice visit. Good scenery. Tree house and bridge makes for nice pictures. We do want to go back in the summer to explore more.

Nice pool with 2 small water slides. Also has snack bar and playground. There are trails to walk and a tree house. Just wish they kept the little "zoo" they had a few years ago.

Don't miss Nay Aug Park when visiting Scranton. The museum is a gem, there's a great playground for the kids, picnic areas and pavilions, and, best of all, trails going down to the famous gorge and waterfalls. The treehouse gives spectacular views of Roaring Brook. Wonderful place for a walk or run.
