“Great for a stop-over”
Reviewed 19 June 2009

I stayed here for 1 night before the Bonnaroo music festival in Manchester TN.

Check-in was relatively quick - desk staff was not overly friendly, but pleasant enough. Our room on the 4th floor was decent sized and clean - bathroom was tiny, but sink was separate which was convenient. Mini-fridge was great.

Breakfast in the morning was pretty standard, but good. Bagels, muffins, cereal, juice, coffee, etc

Location wasn't what you'd call "nice", but was convenient, right off of 24 - lots of stuff nearby (chain restaurants, WalMart, Target, gas stations, etc)

Noticed there was a small outdoor swimming pool, but didn't use it.

Nice, basic 4-story lodging convenient to the interstate. We were there while a motorcycle rally was in town, yet we found it to be quiet, comfortable and reasonably priced. Helpful front desk staff and exceptional complimentary continental breakfast. Yes, Sleep Inn rooms are smaller than many hotels but for 2 people staying one night, you will find the rooms clean and adequate, with comfortable beds. Desk clerk recommended a casual pizza restaurarnt close enough to walk to, and it was good. High speed internet worked great, and the outdoor pool (while a bit chilly!) was nice.

Our room was clean and the young lady who checked us in was very friendly and cheerful. She also recommended a nice casual restaurant near the hotel called "Toots". Thanks, Alicia!

We requested the top floor and it stunk like tobacco. So did our room. They need to fumegate the place. (The hotel staff where we stayed in 5/31/09 in LaFayette, Indiana,-said they stripped everything when they went non-smoking - wallpaper and everything.).

The room was VERY small and not worth the money we paid for it. The bathroom is just a shower/toilet and the small sink is in the bedroom area.

This Sleep Inn is the biggest disappointment we've had so far with Sleep Inns on our month-long trip.

The price was good, the location great if you're wanting something right off the interstate and in the thick of shopping/restaurants. Hotel looks nice inside and out, felt safe, and had comfy bedding. My queen room had fridge/microwave, very nice, and was small enough for one, don't recommend this size room for more than one. Shower stall only and pocket door for the bathroom, something I'd never seen. Biggest complaint: the smell! My room had an unpleasant odor, as did the stairwells and other parts of the hotel. Not sure if it was an overabundance of cleaning chemicals or mold/mildew, but it's the only reason I won't go back to this hotel. If your nose is less sensitive and you don't mind no frills (also, it's pretty loud by the interestate),then this is a good choice for you.

Came back to find our room not cleaned 1 night. Said we had the Do Not Disturb sign on our door - which we did from 1-2 p.m. then took it off and left. Head Housekeeper claims it was still on when she left a 3:30. Management is taking her word over ours and not compensating us even though they have a posted 100% Satisfaction Guarantee policy. Said we could have 20% discount on next visit and then took that away when I replied with a rebuttal about what actually happened. A 20% discount on that night would have satisfied us...instead we got nothing for being inconvenienced. Evidently they don't want repeat customers. I will not stay there again. Oh, and there was a tick crawling on the wall one night, too. So, beware if you stay - watch for bugs and hopefully you don't have a problem because if you do, management won't listen and doesn't care.

Not a bad room for about $70 total (with taxes, etc.). Two double beds slept 2 adults and two children comfortably. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was above average - sausage, eggs, bagels, coffee, etc. All included in the hotel price. Convenient location off I-24 with lots of restaurants and shopping in the area (Walmart, Kmart, mall, etc.) Easy drive to MTSU - which was why we were there. Only negatives were old style bathroom with sliding door to separate toilet and shower from sink area; broken screen that did not allow window to close properly. Decor was not fabulous, but not appalling either. Shower was VERY roomy. Would stay here again.

  • Liked — Free breakfast!
  • Disliked — Bathrooom (except shower which was great)

Nice clean king bedded room, shower only. Extensive breakfast bar with microwaved scrambled eggs & sausage, yogurt. Some sloppy housekeeping during our stay - waste baskets not emptied, but otherwise room clean. Relatively well soundproofed rooms, minimal noise from hall.
