“Good food, great price.”
Reviewed 10 May 2014

Our first visit to Farmers and we'll be coming back. Nice selection of meats and vegetables as well as desserts. Food was tasty and kept at the proper temperature. They also had a good selection of desserts for those trying to remain sugar free. We visited late in the day, after 8 p.m., but still had a full selection and the restaurant was still neat and clean. The server was attentive and kept our drinks refilled and used plates removed. Overall, a nice meal in a friendly atmosphere at a great price.

“Best country food buffet ever!”
Reviewed 26 February 2014

For those who are tired of buffets, this will change your mind. Big variety of vegetables, meats, desserts. Vegetables are not canned, and are done right. Grilled and fried choices for meats. Everything is fresh and hasn't been sitting there long. Great bread choices and salad picks. Christian atmosphere and music. Also, they invited restaurant to pray over lunch on Sunday. So unique. Love it. Don't know anyone who has not enjoyed this restaurant. There is something there for everyone - all tastes and all ages.

“Great variety”
Reviewed 24 February 2014

My first visit to Farmer's was a good experience. They had a wide selection of different kinds of food. I started off with a salad, which had plenty of choices, skipped the soup and headed to the main bar. The catfish was amazing, as well as the chicken. Very tasty. The best thing about this place was the cornbread. It was delicious. The best cornbread I have had at a restaurant. The sides that I did get, pinto beans, mac and cheese, and candied yams were great. Didn't get a chance to try dessert, I was too full, but the yams were so sweet and delicious, it didn't matter. It may not be a five star restaurant, and the seating arrangements and atomosphere aren't the greatest, but for some good country cooking, it is very good. I will return.

“Second experience as bad as the first!”
Reviewed 22 February 2014

Our first trip was for breakfast, and first impression was off to a good start. We were greeted warmly at the front, and then seated in "no man's land". We saw at least 4 different servers before someone asked to take our drink order. It quickly became apparent our table didn't really belong to anyone's section. We continued to be ignored for the duration of our meal. We saw other people getting personalized service, but not us. There was even discussion about how easy it would be to get up and leave...no one would know.

Today's second chance experience was different but equally as bad if not worse. Seated by the same hostess at a table for four in the middle of an area we really couldn't fit. Hard to pull the chairs out from the table to sit down. Continuously bumped from the back and side from other tables way too close. Server was nice and took our drink order. The buffet was beaten up pretty bad from the busy lunch rush. There were several food containers that weren't filled during our entire visit. The mashed potatoes were watery and runny...the fried chicken was filled with pieces no one wanted...the beef stroganoff tasted like beef right out of a can...anyway I could go on and on. After the second trip to the buffet, we returned to our table...that had been CLEARED OFF! No drinks, no flatware...and the waitress actually accused us of seating ourselves. She brought us more drinks and we continued our lunch commenting on all the things we would do differently if we were the owners. The table next to us, had a similar conversation about leaving with out paying (they waited almost 20 minutes for their bill). It was time for dessert, and as large as the dessert area is, the only pie selection was lemon meringue. The banana pudding was right out of can...the fake cheese cake was even bad for clearly fake. The congestion at the front door also provided commentary. People trying to come in and people trying to pay all tangled up. You really have to want to pay, they make it a struggle just to check out. Why not be like other national chain buffets that all make you pay on your way in. I bet they'd see a dramatic bump in sales!!

Overall...just unpleasant experiences both trips. Nothing will make it worth going back...not even free coupons! No thank you.

“Blech”
Reviewed 27 January 2014

If you're into an overpriced Ryan's experience without the steak, this place is for you. The servers aren't very friendly, and you barely get the table wiped down with a dirty rag leaving a sticky residue. Nasty!
