Not worth the full price of admission, but if you have discounts and the night is clear, go for it. The most interesting part was looking at Saturn.

We went twice in the one day, when you go during the day the same admission allows you to come back for the night tours. Day tours we looked at the sun and night tours actually got to look at Saturn. The staff live and love their jobs sharing their passion making the tours enjoyable and educational. The night tours was all upside down coming from down under and all new to me. The young chap that was our guide to the stars pointed out the constellations giving both European and Native interpretations and stories about the constellations.

High winds kept the big telescope closed on our visit last year, and I believe the building was being renovated this year, so we skipped it this trip, but hope to see "the big one" next year. Good museum, auditorium with film presentation, history of observatory's early days.

My daughter did a summer camp here and LOVED it. It is a great place to go to during the day or weekends.... view of Flagstaff is great too. Kids enjoy walking around and looking through telescopes. Highly recommend.
