There are so many places to explore. Make sure that you have a full tank of gas and lunch and enjoy the day like we did!

“Coconino National Forest Has it all, or at least most of it.”
Reviewed 6 April 2012

OK, I’m not sure how you review a 1.8 million acre forest except to say it has a lot to offer. During the summer you can mountain bike, ATV, 4-wheel drive, hike, geocache, camp, horseback ride etc, etc. During the winter there is cross country skiing, snowmobiling, and other activities. This is a beautiful forest, filled with huge ponderosa pines, wildlife, scenic visits, volcanic cinder hills and mountains. It is a beautiful place and worth a visit.

“not what you picture in Arizona”
Reviewed 5 April 2012

loved being in the tall pines, the views from halfway up the Humphreys trail, and the fact that there was snow on the ground. However, the snow did obscure the trail, and made hiking really difficult. Were we better prepared, then this would have been a perfect hike.
