“Really does look like the Golden Gate Bridge!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 October 2013

Just a beautiful sight. It draws you in. The forest and the hills along the way make for a gorgeous drive in this area. It's impossible to not get out of the car to get up close and personal.

“Inner Basin Trail”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 October 2013

This trail leads into the heart of an ancient volcano (caldera) and begins at Lockett Meadow. To access the trail head, drive northeast of Flagstaff on US Highway 89 for 12 miles too Forest Road 420 directly across from the Sunset Crater turnoff. Turn left (west) of about 1/2 mile, turn right (north) on Forest Road 552. Turn right at the Lockett Meadow sign and continue to the trailhead. I would recommend doing this hike when the aspens are changing color in early fall. I hiked this trail on October 4th and as the sun shone through the grove of aspens, they were a beautiful gold color.

“Hike Humphrey's Peak!”

Very challenging hike, amazing views. You'll be up above the tree line at the peak, nearly 13,000 ft elevation.

“Very slow chairlift”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 September 2013

Views are great but the chairlift takes forever to get to the top of the peak. We got the first snowfall of the season so be warned that it's a very cold ride up.
