Unbelievable scenery, nice fun staff, a good value and entirely well worth it.
The employees here are generally really friendly and fun. The lodge food is actually decent.
To summarize:

“Fun ride”
Reviewed 26 November 2013

We visited here October 16th before it opened for the ski season. What a fun drive to the lift! Took the chairlift to 11,500 feet. What fun as there was a little bit of snow on the ground. After arriving at the top, we walked to the summit of this volcanic mountain. The views were spectacular. Of course, had the use the 'highest bathroom' facility before getting back on the chairlift. Would definitely recommend this to travelers who would like to 'climb' a mountain without all the gear. Unfortunately, the chairlift is only used for this purpose when it's not ski season (or at other designated times of the year). We found it nice that the gift shop had blankets to buy for a very reasonable price in case you didn't dress appropriately. Other fun items in the gift shop also.

“An Arizona Treasure!”
Reviewed 23 November 2013

AZ Snowbowl is a gem for skiers and boarders. You lift off on the Agassiz Chair at 9,200 ft. and drop off at 11,500 ft. For a ski area of only 700 acres you will have plenty of terrain for all levels.
The Snowbowl is down home, nothing fancy and very friendly. The Sunset Chair is great for boarders and intermediate skiers. Helpful and happy are the words for everybody who works the lifts, bars, ski shops, rentals and cafeterias. Michael and Steve at the Agassiz Lodge bar will always keep your drink full and tell you great Northern AZ stories. Snowbowl owners have worked hard over the past few years building new terrain and installing their snow making. New lifts will be coming in the future!

“GREAT SCENIC SKYRIDE”
Reviewed 19 November 2013

My wife and I enjoyed an awesome ride up to the top of the mountain. The views were terrific. We saw some beautiful Fall foliage along the way. We were prepared for the cold temperatures at the top and were dressed accordingly. We did see several inches of snow at the top.

“Plenty of challenge here”
Reviewed 16 November 2013

Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or crazy double diamond skier, there is plenty of runs here to satisfy all. The view down into valley when not obscured by cloud cover is almost as good as the views of Tahoe Lake at some of the slopes there (no lake here of course). The lodge is toasty warm and all the staff we met were helpful, friendly and informative. Got great advice on some of the upper runs which are steep and exhilarating. Even some of the intermediate runs were a bit challenging. Even a snow storm and brisk winds did not diminish our skiing fun. Would love to go again and decently priced for slopes.
