“Find Some Place Else to Stay”
Reviewed 18 July 2006

The good first: Rooms are large. You get a free breakfast buffet. You get bottled water with the room.

The bad: Where do I start? When we arrived at 9:30 PM and opened our door to our room a gust of hot musty air welcomed us. It was 67 degrees outside and probably 90 degrees inside. So, we had to leave the door and windows open to cool the place off. Finally around 3:00 AM it got cool. You'd think the staff would recognize this and at least open a window to rooms that will be occupied that day. The room that we were put in was cabin #3. We were so close to the main road that you hear everything all day and all night long. There are two other "cabins" down the walk way from this room and you hear EVERYTHING that goes on in rooms 1 & 2. We were so lucky to have a family next to us who didn't care about any one else and let their kids run up and down the walkway in front of all the other rooms at 6:00 A.M. screaming and crying. When we mentioned this to the front desk, they really didn't care. They just advised us that they were staying for another night. The beds are hard as rocks, they squeak with any movement and the pillows are falling apart. The rooms are so run down. Seriously need to remodel. The bathroom....I had to wipe hair out of the tub and the sink. The floor was so disgusting. We had to keep our shoes on all the time due to the hair, dirt and whatever else was on the floor. There were dirty towels still in the bathroom from the previous guests! The staff was nice but didn't really care if you had issues. They got your money so there really isn't much you can do. We heard another couple telling the Manager that there was blood all over their sheets. Management just told them to put the maid sign out and she would change them. This place is in such a nice and peaceful area and it is sad that it hasn't been kept up. The restaurant staff is nice. The food is okay. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and good for free. We had lunch there and it wasn't really that good. A little pricey for lunch. But if you don't want to drive to town, it will do.

The lodge was cozy and the room was clean. The only problem was the toilet bowl that was dirty and they could have done a better job cleaning it.

We just got back from the Ski Lift Lodge. I made the reservations and then read the review from the guy who had the bad experience. Needless to say we were a little worried about what might happen. We ended up having a great time. The room was nothing fancy, but was clean. The sheets and towels smelled fine and they didn't appear to have a problem with laundry. When we arrived, we were also given the rules which included no outside liquor (you could bring liquor back to your room from the restaurant). They also didn't allow you to be loud and obnoxious after 10:00 p.m. which was fine with us since we were traveling with a four year old. The restaurant had great food and large portions. Over all, the Ski Lift Lodge is a quaint place to stay and we would recommend it highly. However, if you are looking for a place to party all night, then look elsewhere.

A group of 8 spent the night of August 14th, 2004 at the Snow Bowl Lodge.
1-We were given rules about the place when we checked in. These rules should be posted on their website. Since when can one not have a glass of wine in their room?

2-We had 4 rooms, one which had not been cleaned. Bathroom was dirty. Management was rude when we pointed out that it needed to be cleaned. Even clothes from the previous guest were in the room.
3-Some of the bedding smelled. Laundry is not big at this place.
4-I have slept on softer floors.
5-Management was rude.
6-The one highlight was our server Sharon and the food at the restaurant. Would go there to eat.

Too many rules, poor management and dirty rooms will not bring us back to the Snow Bowl Lodge.
