“Newer Hotel with nice rooms”
Reviewed 1 November 2011

We enjoyed our stay at Courtyard Flagstaff. Hotel is newer and rooms are nice with modern decor. For dining, there is breakfast service only in the lobby area with no on premisis restaurant for lunch and dinner. Staff was very pleasant and helpful.

Room Tip: We like rooms on the 32nd or 3rd level overlooking the courtyard. If we had young kids, would stay...

Large clean rooms that accommodated a family of five. Customer service was excellent. We asked for a roll away bed and extra towels and had it within five minutes. If you plan on sight seeing in Flagstaff ask the front desk and they might have discount coupons available. They gave us coupons for Lowell Observatory that saved us a few dollars per person.

My wife and I recently spent two nights at the Marriott Courtyard Flagstaff. Our daughter is a student at NAU so we travel to Flagstaff four to five times a year. Normally, we stay at the Drury. On this trip, the Drury was booked so we stayed at the Marriott Courtyard.

The Marriott is one of the newer hotels in Flagstaff. It was very clean and had the atmosphere of a modern mountain lodge. The lobby is essentially a large casual bar and lounge. There is a fire pit outside. This hotel offers some good areas for groups to gather and socialize. The staff was friendly and helpful.

We had a second floor room with a view of the San Francisco Peaks. The room was a little small, much smaller than the Drury. Also, the configuration of the room was a little odd. It made it difficult to see the entire television while in bed. The bed itself was very comfortable. The room had a flat screen television and free wi-fi.

Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and I would definitely consider staying here again. That being said, I prefer the Drury. Their rooms are larger, it’s a more convenient location for our needs and they offer a free hot breakfast and happy hour.

The room was excellent and clean, and the staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. Really, the only problem is that walking into this hotel is like walking into a bar. The entire lobby centers around the bar, and in the evening is full of people hanging around drinking. Now this is an upscale place; it feels like a ski lodge, not some dive bar, but a bar nonetheless. I think if you are young and/or hip and like to drink you will like this hotel. Also they give free drinks but you have to pay for breakfast! Misplaced priorities. That said, the room was very modern and comfortable, and the price was excellent. As another reviewer said, there is a discount for government employees. We would try to stay somewhere else next time, but would stay again if necessary.

Room Tip: Choose an upper floor to avoid noise from the bar/lobby; be prepared for a hike as the elevators are...

We reserved a room for this property for one night. We had a two queen room that did not dissapoint. The property was in a great location and very well kept. The staff was helpful and courteous. The room was extremely clean and well maintained. Our kids loved the indoor pool and free wi-fi. We will stay here next time we are in Flagstaff for sure!

Room Tip: Some rooms have balconies at the same price.

I try and stay at Marriott's Courtyard hotels when traveling because I have always been pleased with the caliber of hotel for the price and this courtyard was no exception. We got a military rate which was excellent. We stayed for five days and our room was kept very clean by housekeeping. I would recommended staying here if you are in the Flagstaff area.

I'm a Platinum Premier member of Marriott Rewards so I travel a lot. I can say without a doubt this is one of the nicest marriott properties I've experienced. It's built like a Pacific northwest lodge. The property is new and extremely clean. The beds are comfortable. My only complaint are with the pillows. I request foam pillows and they seemed worn out. There is a bar/cafe on site. There is a nice courtyard with a fire pit. The lobby is the new design you see on TV. The people are nice. The internet speed is much faster than most hotels I stay at. The bathrooms are large. I would recommend this place to anybody.

Room Tip: ask for a mountain view on the second floor. Nobody will be on top of you (no foot stomping to list...
