“They know how to cook and serve”
Reviewed 6 August 2014

Went with two others and we all ordered the Jerry Garcia which is a little of just about everything on the menu. It's enough for two but a really hungry person can down it. The surprise was that the food wasn't heavy so eating a lot was not a strain. Each part of dish was delicious from pork to rice to salad to beans. The waiter was nice and friendly and very attentive. We liked the informal, almost family-type, atmosphere. There is good parking right in front of the restaurant and although they don't serve alcohol, there are several pubs in the neighborhood where you can slake your thirst after eating. MartAnne's is a Flagstaff community standard and deserves patronage.

“Yeah the Service Stinks but Food is Sooo Worth It”
Reviewed 3 August 2014

Yeah MartAnne's follows this relationship: the number of tatoos on servers is inversely related to the quality of service. So, prepare yourself for a big city type experience and stop being a grump - settle in with some coffee, chat with others waiting for tables, chat with your friends while waiting for food and revel in the idea that the staff might actually be making a living wage because they have a lot of tables to cover. The food is definitely worth the wait. Viva las chiliquiles! I am positively addicted to them. (And if you don't like waiting, come early or late. I've never waited at 1:00.)

“Bring cash for a great breakfast!”
Reviewed 3 August 2014

If you’re happy with a bagel and a cup of coffee for breakfast, you won’t have any problem finding a place in Flagstaff. BUT, if you prefer something more substantial, MartAnne’s is THE place to go!

Since they bill themselves as the “House that Chilaquiles built”, we decided that one of us had to order them. Our other order was green chili omelet. The portions were HUGE! Our little table for two was barely big enough to hold the plates – really! And not just large portions, but both were huge in flavor. Outstanding!

Great service, too. The place was packed, and well worth the wait.

Biggest surprise: they do not take credit cards – CASH ONLY. There is an ATM down the alley, but save yourself that trouble and bring cash. Also, you may want to consider limiting your coffee intake. The bathrooms are shared with other business in the building; you may have to wait your turn to get the key, go outside and down the sidewalk to access the loo.

“No service, rude owner, will never return.”
Reviewed 23 July 2014

Went there the morning of July 23rd. Told the waitress I was hungry and expecting to be joined by two more. Was sat and given coffee and water. Utensils were dirty and atmosphere is hokey. Sat for half an hour without being waited on. Paid for my coffee and left still hungry. Called the owner who said I was wrong for wanting breakfast in a timely manner. Bad deal if you ask me.

“WOW!!!!!!!”
Reviewed 17 July 2014

This has to be the best breakfast this side of Santa Fe. The pulled pork omelette with green chili sauce is fantastic. The serving size is super large. My companion had buckwheat pancakes and liked them. Go early and avoid the long waits to get in. Highly recommend!!
