“Manage expectations before arriving”

We stayed here for 2 nights as no other rooms of a similar budget were available. The reviews here were terrible so we went in with minimal expectations. The rooms were considerably small but it could have been a lot worse. This motel6 lacks many "extra services" so just be prepared for the basic bed, tv and toilet. It was moderately clean and most importantly enough for a good nights rest.

It can get quite noisy as we were woken up due to noisy neighbours upstairs.

Room Tip: If you are carrying many things, try to get the lower levels or levels that does not require additio...

You get what you pay for, is a popular expression. But since we only needed a room for one night, I thought it would be okay to save some money and stay at a Motel 6. I don't wanna be too hard on them, because we only paid $45 a night and we know it's not the Hilton.
But still, there are issues.

Not only does the building look like a prison, it gave us also an unsafe feeling because there were a lot of shady people hanging around.
The rooms were very small and run down. The mattress was very odd, like some parts of it were filled with bricks. There were holes in the curtain. Next to the door is a very bright light, so if you want it dark to fall asleep you better bring something to cover your eyes. Of course the holes in the curtains won't help. There are no amenities at all, just a bar of soap. (Do people nowadays actually still use bars of soap?)
The bath room door had a hole it, which seemed to be repaired with chewing gum. The paint was peeling off the walls, there was a panel behind the bath tub that was placed there because.... No one knows, but I don't wanna know the fungus growing on the back side of it. The trims were coming off the walls too. It was a mess. Our bath room was clean (or my husband must have quickly cleaned it because he knows how much it creeps me out) , but we had three rooms total, and the bath rooms of my family were dirty, they had to clean out several hairs first. My brother even found hairs in his bed.

So it is cheap, but is it worth it? I would still say no. Look somewhere else.

Rule number one of hotel booking: if they don't put any photos on the website, don't book the room. Had I been the one making the reservation, I would have come here and quickly changed gears, but I was not.

I knew when I pulled up that this was going to be a bad decision. The rooms are small, dirty and in desperate need of upgrade. The bed is hard as a stone, our TV remote didn't work, there was a disconcerting stain on the carpet, and our friends' shower looked like someone had been murdered there because there was so much pink mildew. Also, there is no shampoo, only one thin towel per room and the walls are so thin I woke up when a neighbor turned the shower on. What's more, the rooms weren't ready when we arrived at about 3 in the afternoon.

Only reason why I gave it two stars is that it is cheap. Very cheap. If you just need a bed for the night and don't care about anything else, this is your place. But if you want a modicum of comfort, keep looking.

Room Tip: To choose a good room, stay at ANY of the hotels on Lucky Lane next to Motel 6 before you stay here.

one star is too good for this hotel. our nonsmoking room reeked of stale cigarette smoke, the carpet looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in weeks, and the counter tops were filthy. (dingy washcloth was black after wiping them off) ice machine was empty and the desk clerk told me to go to a neighboring hotel if I wanted ice. really?? I wasn't paying their neighbor and wasn't going to visit them for ice. if it wasn't so late and we were not sooo tired from a long drive, didn't already have this reservation, and the neighbor had a vacancy, i would have demanded a refund and moved next door. the only good thing . . no bedbugs and the clerk at checkout was friendly. if you are a nonsmoker and are not desperate for a place to sleep for a few hours, don't call this motel 6. sorry lucky lane, but you really need to make some improvements.

Room Tip: ask to see the room before you pay for it. and take Lysol.

While the staff at this Motel 6 on Lucky Lane were very nice and quite helpful, and the room was clean - the property is old and run-down. It is four stories, and the elevator is small - two people and suitcases is all that will fit. There was barf by the second floor stairs that stayed for over 24 hours!

If you have to stay in that area, the very close Motel 6 on Butler is a better choice. Best of all is the one by the I-17/I-40 intersection, though you will pay more.

It's worth it.

Room Tip: It's between the railroad tracks and I-40... hard to avoid in Flagstaff.

Room was ok for the price. If your on a budget and you just need a bed this is were to stay the shower doesn't have a lit of pressure no soap or wash cloths in the room.but for $30 what can you expect the hotel is very difficult to find if you don't know the area
