“Very nice place to stay in Flagstaff”
Reviewed 2 November 2013

We stayed 2 nights in Flagstaff as part of our Grand Canyon trip. 2 Seniors, 1 adult, and 1 child, all in one room with 2 queen beds. Hotel has a full breakfast (Hot and Cold foods) 24 hour coffee bar, a swimming pool (Outside and closed for the winter), exercise room. WIFI is throughout the property and is excellent. The hotel is about 90 minutes to the entrance of the Grand Canyon. The property is very close to fast food, walking distance. A very short drive to Wal*Mart. And, Northern Arizona University (NAU) is within 2 minutes by car. Downtown Flagstaff has tons of coffee shops, restaurants, & shops. Lowell Observatory is on a hill overlooking the town and is a great place to take spectacular photos of the city. No restaurant on the property..

Room Tip: Our room was on the top floor and there was no street noise, and no a/c noise either night.

We were delighted with this hotel. The price was right and we had a great night's sleep. The room was a little small, BUT all we were going to do in it was SLEEP. Although we faced the main street, there was no street noise and no noise from our neighbors, although the hotel was full! Will stay there again.

Older hotel in downtown area. Lobby very small and became very crowded with so many people trying to check in or get info. Check in staff very friendly and helpful. Only one, very small, elevator located in a very congested area. Room was very clean. Very hard beds (at least for us). Breakfast was good but again, very busy and congested as it was too small for the number of people. Value to cost: low.

While touring the Grand Canyon and Canyon de Chelly we stayed in this property for two nights. When checking in we were offered out selection for floors we choose the third floor, it is the only floor with interior hallways. Interior hallways are warmer and quieter.
The king bed was firm and the pillows offered a selection of firm to soft. The room was average in size not a lot of extra room to walk around in the king bed room. There was an outlet near the bedside table to plug in your phone.
Breakfast did include a nice variety of hot and cold choices but fresh cut fruit was only offered one morning. The registration desk had fruit, boxes of raisins and proteins bars for free to the guests all day.

We had booked this hotel on the basis of the Marriott brand. However, as the registration lady admitted, it wasn't as good as other Marriott's. The room was clean, adequate and no noisier than others we stayed at (the principal noise comes from the air-conditioning and the fridge but given the choice of hot room or a bit of noise, air-con wins). The hotel generally lacked character and was in need of a makeover. Breakfast was adequate but nothing special. It was "OK" but we wouldn't stay there again. Now we have seen Sedona, we wouldn't plan to stop over in Flagstaff.

We stayed for 1 night at this Fairfield. The room was quit tiny, as was the bathroom. The room was clean. We were right next to the elevator so I was worried that the room would be noisy, but it wasn't at all. We took advantage of the complimentary breakfast. They were out of coffee and after checking back several times, the coffee still wasn't refilled. The gentleman at the front desk said it was coming, but it never came. The young lady that checked us in was kind, but the morning staff was short and seemed a little annoyed by us. We've stayed at many great Fairfields, but this one fell a little short. If ever in Flagstaff again I might check into other options.

This was an extremely inexpensive Fairfield! It is definitely an older property so it's not quite as nice as the newer Fairfields. The pool is outdoors, which for Flagstaff means seasonal. Very old equipment in the workout room, and the rooms were very small. However, it has all the basics and we were well taken care of, and the price was crazy good!
