Excellent ride. The staff was friendly and the horses were really nice. They fit the horse to your ability. The forest we rode through was beautiful.

My husband and I had a good time on our 2 hour trail ride with our great tour guide Jenna (don't remember last name - I remember her saying she's originally from California). Jenna made the experience pleasurable - she was very personable and made our ride entertaining. For as short a time as Jenna said she'd been working there, she seemed to know what she was doing. It was also apparent that Jenna was there because she loved what she did - working with the horses. Another positive of our experience was the setting that we were in - the Coconino National Forest - it was beautiful. There were some negatives of our experience; we were charged more for our ride than what was advertised on the website, and the facilities, especially the "restroom" (port-a-potty), did not appear to be very well kept. Lastly, the majority of the employees were not very welcoming or friendly to my husband and myself, so that was a bit of a turn off.

Purchased a package for a sleigh ride, fire and hot coco. We did not get to do a sleigh ride because of the lack of snow which was not a big deal. On the ride to the stop there was no talking from our guides but they had tip jars all over. At the 'camp' the fire was not a fire more of just a massive smoke bomb. At the hot chocolate stand there was no cups left and I had to search out someone to help out. Our 'guides' did not talk to us at all just went off by themselves and talked. We ran out of hot chocolate fast and no one knew where there was any more. Again, the entire time the cowpokes were no where to be seen! We hung out with no hot coco around a smoldering smokey wood! After wasting about 20 min in the dark we rode back to the main stable. What a waste of money! The trip was worth about $5 per person and we paid a lot more than that. The people were not friendly, there was not a fire and there were no cups or coco! What a waste of an hour. Would not recommend!

Drew, Thank you for your review. We do take these seriously and appreciate your feedback. We actually had another couple (that was on the same ride with you) let us know about the situation at the forest camp. Since then the employees are no longer with us and we have more strict guidelines: not only for the condition of the campsite but how our Wranglers and Drivers interact with the guests.
If you would like to give us a call, we'd be happy to take you on a complimentary ride to show you how we've improved. Thanks again!

We really wanted a sleigh ride in the snow , however mother nature just refused to cooperate .(There were lovely little patches of snow here and there ) . We booked the 5 pm ride with dinner. It was a nice , slow ride through the forest , yes it was bumpy but HELLO people it is a forest trail! The only issue for me was that it was a little close to the road I wish we would have been a bit deeper into the woods .When we got to the campground, there was a campfire w/ Hot cocoa and coffee. We sat around the campfire talking with the other guests . Then we had dinner in the tent . It was buffet style. The Chef was real nice . The food was incredible Hubby and the kids had a huge steak and I had chicken . Tons of food and everything was delicious .After dinner, we all went back out to the campfire and just visited some more and let dinner settle a bit .Only thing missing was the s'mores ( hint , hint Sheila! ) that would have topped off the perfect cowboy cookout experience . We loaded up the wagon and Zeke and Zach ( the horses ) took us back to the Ranch under the stars . We had a really nice , relaxing time even the teenagers said they had a good time and that is rare , since there were no video games or amusement park rides. The staff was fun and friendly and I would recommend taking this ride , I would strongly encourage you to have the dinner though it greatly enhances the experience I think.
