“Very good value”
Reviewed 13 September 2012

We stayed here because of the recommendations on Trip Advisor. We were very pleased. It was EXCEPTIONALLY clean, the staff was friendly, and it was conveniently located in downtown Flagstaff near the North Arizona University and the depot. We felt that we got good value for our money. They do not have breakfast, but we walked across the street to the organic grocery and got breakfast items. We had no problems with noise from Route 66.

The hotel is centrally located within walking distance from historic town. Very clean. Although very close to major highways, there was no road noise. The hotel staff was not familiar with the local attractions but that was quickly solved by a trip to the visitor's bureau which was in easy walking distance.
no pool, no restaurant but that wasn't a problem

There's plenty of choice of motels around the town, I thought we could have got a better deal hunting around. That said there was nothing wrong with the place and the staff were helpful. The room was fine, clean and quiet.

We had caught the train in Chicago and got off at Flagstaff. The motel (classic lay out) was a short taxi ride from the train station. We were very delayed and the guy on the desk stay extra late to check us in. Very efficient checking in. The room was very clean, rather large - not that that is a bad thing - with a large bathroom. We spent a very restful night there - it was very quiet despite being so close to main roads. As a stopping off point to get started in that part of Arizona, it was great and very economical. Very close to the city centre, so we were able to walk into town and to the car hire place to pick up our car and had a great breakfast at the back of the railway station in Biff's Bagels. I would have liked to stay there a couple of days longer.

Room Tip: The layout of the motel was classic horseshoe. We were on the ground floor, but had not noise from...

We stayed in this motel on our way from Las Vegas to Grand Canyon. The hotels near the Grand Canyon is so expensive, thus we selected this motel to stop for the night. The hotel layout is a classic motor hotel. The room was not too big, but comfortable and clean enough to spend the night, rest and get ready for the big day in Grand Canyon.

The hotel is located on the main road of Flagstaff. There is a service station right across the motel where you can grab some food for the room. It is safe and staff is really kind. I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a stop-by near Grand Canyon.

Good choice on a way to/from Grand Canyon.
Clean and comfortable rooms with refrigerator and microwave. Free wi-fi. Laundry room. Free unlimited coffee (brewed and instant), hot chocolate and selection of about 8 different teas in the lobby from 6am to midnight. Two floor motel - easy access from car with luggage.
Very quick and easy check-in/out.
No pool or breakfast but for early departure to Grand Canyon this is a great choice. Will stay again if in the area.
Note; from the lobby to the rooms, cleaning staff LOVE Lysol which you can smell everywhere. A bit overpowering at first but no reason not to book this place.

I think average is the best description for this place. It was clean, comfortable, easy to get to and close to everything. If you are looking for a place with an iron and ironing board, breakfast, ample staff and a wake up call then this is not your place. But if you want something clean, affordable and simple than you lucked out.
It is a 3 star hotel, for sure; however we came back very late and our key malfunctioned and the owners woke up and fixed the issue immediately...the service was great.
I think ks0831 said it best with "Hotel snobs, look elsewhere."
