“Gourmet breakfast and fabulous hospitality”
Reviewed 22 January 2014

Richard and Laurel are fabulous hosts: knowledgable, friendly, and so anxious to make your stay wonderful. This house is historic, but updated and extremely comfortable. All the rooms are unique. I have stayed 3 times in 3 different rooms and am committed to try them all! And Flagstaff AZ is a great town with a lot to see and do.

Room Tip: All the rooms are unique. Bathrooms are different in each so be sure to check out the pics.

From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed by Richard. The attention to detail in this B&B was by far the best we have ever experienced. Both our large room and the giant bathroom were clean and comfortable with ample room to stow our things. In spite of our dietary restrictions, our breakfasts were well- thought out and delicious. The house, its history and furnishings, are very unusual and interesting giving it more importance in our visit than we had anticipated. We can't wait for our next visit!

We arrived to a beautiful room and a great stay! We received a warm welcome from Richard - he gave us the tour of the home as well as a detailed description of all there is to do in Flagstaff (all of which is a 10 minute walk away!) We stayed in the Pantry room, a small and lovely room! Richard let us know when we made the reservation to expect a small room, which was nice of him. The room far exceeded our expectations...The linens were lovely, the bed comfortable, the bathroom very nice. All in all, this was a lovely place to stay and we can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: The Pantry room is small and very affordable. If you want to have a great experience for a good pric...

Our second stay matched the beautiful memories of our first. From helpful tips about the area to outstanding breakfasts, Laurel and Richard are an incredible team made of hospitality. My husband and I hope to make our stays annual and have given my parents a gift certificate to the England House so they, too, can appreciate the history, beauty, and comfort there. It's easy to see that pride lives in the England House, and we couldn't recommend it more highly.

We stayed at England House last week and enjoyed a truly delightful experience. Richard and Laurel are the perfect hosts and so gracious. Richard provided a warm greeting upon our arrival and his introduction to this fabulous house and it's history was fascinating. The room was immaculate and super comfortable, breakfast perfectly done and the little extras made us feel completely at home. We especially appreciated the information on local restaurants, sites and shopping! Highly recommended!

My husband and I stayed at the England House B&B last weekend for a quick 24 hour trip to the snowy mountains to get a taste of the cold for Christmas. We picked the England House based on all the great reviews, and we were definitely not disappointed. We arrived early for our reservation and they were very nice in accommodating us and letting us check in early. Richard gave us a tour of the property and described the history of the house which we found very interesting. We lucked out this Saturday night, that there were other rooms available, so we got to upgrade to the Stone Cutter suite for only $5 more...definitely worth it because it has an attached sun-room with fireplace that we were able to enjoy in the evening. The weather was snowy and we were very excited we were able to walk just 10-15 minutes to get to all of the shopping and restaurants. We spent the afternoon and evening visiting the local breweries and after dinner, headed back to the B&B for some chocolate and wine that was provided for us. We have stayed in a few other B&B's and have never had complimentary chocolate, wine, beer, and frozen deserts before so we were very excited with this extra perk!

I would highly recommend a stay at the England House B&B, Richard and Laurell will take great care of you! Oh and one more thing...my husband forgot his phone charger and Richard was kind enough to mail it to us no charge...that's the kind of service that doesn't go unnoticed! We will definitely be back to stay, hopefully for more than one night next time!

If this is your 1st experience of staying in a b&b, you will use England B&B as the quality chart for your future accommodations.

Our 3 days 2 nights stay was made special by Richard and Laurel (innkeepers) together with the rich history of the house.

We absolutely enjoyed the hospitality, the location, the beauty and comfort of the house and the free flow of hot and cold beverages.
