“Great pet friendly place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 July 2011

I stayed here twice in two weeks. Room was very nice, and clean. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was what you expect for a free breakfast. Not bad.

Free internet, and plenty of free parking.

I was traveling with my 70 pound Standard Poodle. There is plenty of green grass area for dogs to run around.

Great experience. Would definitely recommend this place. Will visit again.

We stayed here for one night on our family vacation. The hotel is pet friendly but that means it is not people friendly. Because of inconsiderate pet owners, we had to listen to barking dogs as we tried to go to sleep and barking dogs woke us up very early the next morning. The shower was in need of repair as well. The shower head sprayed water all over the bathroom. This clearly was not a new problem and it was obvious that it had been that way for some time. Needless to say, not a good experience.

DruryHotels, Manager at Drury Inn & Suites Flagstaff, responded to this review, 18 July 2011
Thank you for staying with us recently at Drury Inn & Suites Flagstaff, AZ. We appreciate your business and your feedback. I am very sorry to hear that some of our other guests, the dogs staying with their owners, made your stay uncomfortable and not as quiet as you had expected. Drury is happy to be a pet friendly hotel chain (where allowed by city ordinances) but at times, the animals can be a bit jittery in unfamiliar surroundings. Our front desk team is trained to respond to any disturbance notifications from other guests, and usually we can get things quiet very quickly. I am sorry this was not the case during your stay. Also, we have asked our maintenance team to take a look at the spray from the shower head that you mentioned and fix this so other guests don't have the same experience. In honor of the satisfaction guarantee, we did adjust your stay at checkout. Thanks again for your feedback!

We stayed here for several different nights on a SW trip. The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the extras make this a very family friendly stop. In addition to a breakfast they offer an evening "supper" that includes free cocktails. A welcome break for the road weary.

Believe it or not, the Drury Inn beat out Arizona Grand Resort in Phoenix according to the kids (maybe it was because of the dust storm that went through the day before we got threre that made things a little more old/dirty looking?). But I think they were really impressed by the newness of the rooms (tiled bathrooms, granite countertops, flat panel TV, nice furniture, etc). This hotel was VERY clean (and if you read any of my other reviews, clean is a big thing for me!) I was really pleased that they also had a little mini-fridge (also clean and didn't have that old musty refrigerator smell) along with a microwave, too. This was our only hotel on our trip that had this neat little feature. The evening drinks/meal were great (we were there on nacho/hot dog dog night) and breakfast was filling! The pool and hot tub were fun for the kids, as well as Grandpa, too! Parking was nice and safe in the parking garage and the campus was a nice treat to run on. Lastly, the staff was awesome -- we even had the manager of the hotel check us in! Couldn't be happier with Drury Inn (our first stay at one ever) and we hope it becomes Flagstaff's #1 hotel!!

We stayed one night here and were very impressed! The staff were all friendly and more than willing to go the extra mile. The hotel is pretty and very clean. We were just passing through on our way to California, but would have loved to stayed in this hotel for longer. The breakfast buffett was great and had a lot ot choices. We were not troubled by any noise at night.

We went to a NAU campus tour in Flagstaff and stayed here because it was close to campus. It is actually right on campus. We paid $330 for two rooms and were up most of the night because of kids running in the hall way, knocking on doors and running away. There were also a couple people crying and talking on their cell phones in the hallway. The rooms were nice and the cont. breakfast was good but the lack of sleep took out all the fun for me. We will be going back to Flagstaff - a lot, as it turns out as we may have a child going to NAU - but will be looking for better values and a quieter place.

DruryHotels, General Manager at Drury Inn & Suites Flagstaff, responded to this review, 13 July 2011
Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay with us in Flagstaff. We apologize for your lack of sleep on what sounded like was a very active Summer night. We do have staff on duty 24 hours a day and we do respond to noise complaints at the time that we get them. Please don't hesitate to let us know during your stay, if you ever have a problem with anything. Again, we apologize for the experience you had in June. If you would like to discuss the issue further, please contact me at the hotel. Jeff Theiss, General Manager

The hotel looks brand new and is very clean, very nice. The staff was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted and promptly checked in by a very professional staff. It was probably the quickest hotel check-in I have ever had. I paid thru Expedia and there were no extra fees added--what was advertised was what I got. Great deal. Even tho the hotel just had a tour bus of people arrive and there were people with small dogs at the hotel, they put us on a higher floor away from everyone without my even asking. The staff was helpful, friendly and very professional -- the staff even looked professionally dressed (not suits but nice), to include the people serving happy hour and breakfast. The elevators and ice machine on the higher floors are behind double doors which blocks out noise from them. The professionalism of the staff really stood out, whether it was the staff serving happy hour or breakfast. The breakfast was like a full buffet! This will be my hotel of choice if I go to Flagstaff again. It is located next to the NAU campus but we were there during off season so I don't know how it is during school year, but I will definitely stay in this hotel again.

Room Tip: Just ask for what you want - the staff is great
