My wife and I have stayed in several different hotels in Flagstaff over the years. You either have to settle for some outdated shotty motel, or stay in a character-less corporate hotel that looks the same everywhere. But after staying one night at the Little America Hotel, we have a place we'll always come back to. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were very big and clean. Very delightful victorian-style interiors. The only knock on the place is that the room sort of smelled like a grandma... but not so much that it was a bother. For the price you are staying in a iddylic, beautiful hotel for the same or less than if you stayed in a generic Embassy Suites. We'll be back!

Our family recently stayed here for the second time. We stayed with another family who was taking advantage of the hotel's location for the North Pole Experience. Having already experienced that (not so great) NPX event, our family opted to just take advantage of the hotel grounds, with nearby sledding.

Both families had reserved our rooms nearly a year ahead of time, knowing it gets booked quickly due to the NPX. My friend had called a few weeks prior to our actual stay to ensure that our rooms were a) in Building 1, and b) close together, so the kids could enjoy visiting with one another.

When we arrived at the hotel to check in, the check in clerk (Raoul? a grumpy older gentleman) said our rooms were close together and nearby. However, the rooms were not close together or in a close building, and he said there were none available at this point. At this point, after a joking suggestion by me, our friend provided "financial incentive" to the clerk, two rooms next door to one another, in the closest building magically became available. Seriously?! In Flagstaff?

The kids and the adults all loved the activities onsite--namely the holiday light display throughout the resort grounds, and the horse-drawn carriage ride. The rooms are very dated, per usual, but are very clean and large. The kids got a kick out of the phone next to the toilet in the bathroom (ew! germs), as well as the mini refrigerator in the bathroom.

Once again, both families took advantage of the onsite restaurant to eat breakfast. The (younger lady) hostess was absolutely terrible--she was very grumpy and gave us attitude when we asked to sit together, and out of the bright sunlight. We offered to move the tables together ourselves but got a lot of eye rolling and huffing in response.

Since it was a Sunday, some of us chose to partake in the breakfast brunch/buffet. It was really good, and fresh-tasting. Our server (a young woman) was absolutely fantastic, and very accommodating. She more than made up for the hostess' behavior.

The gift shop was as fabulous as it was last year, and the kids all had a great time picking out a stuffed animal from their really large collection.

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the first or second building. Otherwise, you'll have quite a hike to the lobb...

Thank you for taking the time to review our property on TripAdvisor, we appreciate your feedback. I am sorry to hear that we were unable to accommodate your request of adjacent rooms upon check in. We try to accommodate these request as best we can, but sometimes are unable to due to occupancy and existing guest reservations. Excepting any kind of “financial incentives” is definitely not part of our front desk check in guidelines. Please rest assured that I have discussed this matter with our front desk staff and rooms manager so that we make sure all staff are properly trained.

I would also like to apologize for our hostess attitude when your group visited our restaurant. I expect all service employees to be courteous and gracious with all guests and we seemed to have missed the mark this time. I am pleased to hear that there were aspects of your stay that truly reflect a Little America experience. We hope that you will give us another opportunity to host you in the future.

Sincerely,
Little America Management

Stayed for three nights and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Opted for a larger suite on the top floor which had a lovely sitting area with views of the pool and gardens, covered in snow! The trees had been dressed in coloured lights for Christmas. The room was clean, comfortable, quiet and had a nice ambience. The real discovery with this hotel was the restaurant; good food at very reasonable prices, though the service seemed inefficient at times. Breakfast was not included, but well worth paying the extra for. One thing to be wary of is that while the upper floor rooms are nice, there is no elevator; we had to struggle up the flight of stairs with our bags.

Hotel and location are very nice. Service is high standard as well as the rooms. All staff always kind and professional.
We were there on Christmas Eve and even with full booked hotel everything about accommodation was perfect and above expectation.
Unfortunately the restaurant is totally below expectation. Food and service at very low standard . We've experienced cold food waiting 15 min on the desk before being served and big delays without (30 min for one drink and 1.45min for two steak and two children menu) any different reason then bad organization and personnel not well trained and committed as they were not even too busy. And no excuse because of the Christmas Eve as the restaurant shall be prepared in advance for this occurrence as the hotel (perfectly) was. Apologize from manager does not make the difference after a wrong and bad Christmas diner. To be improved

Snow and Christmas lights every where. Smiling welcoming staff who were busy and contending with the crowds wit good humor and patience. Large spacious clean and well appropriated rooms, ours with a view of the trees, snow and night lights. Christmas Day room service breakfast delivered still hot and steaming with only a thirty minute wait from ordering - brilliant for any day let alone Christmas Day. We had booked the Christmas Day a la carte dinner and headed down at our planned early time of 6.00pm. Not packed but busy and a little light on staff but we were in no hurry. Drinks arrived within 30 minutes food orders taken - but the day was starting to take its toll on the staff and the kitchen. One third of the set menu was finished by 6.30pm. Completely out of lamb chops, OK - Christmas spirit, I will go the prime rib. Drinks gone and no resupply, I was forced to retrieve a bottle of red from our room to keep lubricated. Meals arrived three were perfectly cooked but my prime rib and vegetables were stone cold. Three out of four ain't bad on Christmas Day. Prime rib cam back well zapped and edible but the veggie had gone to a better place. Not a real bad dining experience but the staff were overworked and dead tired some after a very, very long day but they were still smiling and tippable. Overall a good experience but not the best. We will return but perhaps not on Christmas Day.

Room Tip: Pay a little extra for a room with a view it is well worth it.

Took my wife here for snow and cold for Christmas. Ambience was great with tree lighting on the grounds. Nice stroll after dark. Room was OK, pretty quiet for the amount of people/kids staying there for Christmas activities.

Room Tip: Rooms away from parking lot would be better, probably quieter and better view.

Room was supposed to have a microwave in it. When we went to the bar for Happy Hour, we did not get served for 15 minutes and it was not busy one night. Great Christmas atmosphere in the lobby though!
