Very clean, comfortable, spacious rooms. Excellent 2 mile walking trail thru the pines. Convenient and affordable restaurant. Abert squirrels and prarie dogs. New toilets with added clearance. If you've stayed here before...you'll know what I mean.....Can't wait to come back.....

We recently stayed at the Little America hotel as we prepared for an early morning hike into the Grand Canyon. The hotel was recommended by our tour group and I am glad it was. I don't know how to describe the hotel - it bills itself as a motor lodge but it's actually really quite nice. The rooms are nicely decorated, large and clean. The restaurant is nice and has a great wine list. Its location is an easy drive to downtown (it's not walkable). The biggest selling point is how friendly the staff is - everyone was so cheerful! I would definitely recommend - its a great hotel particularly for the price you pay.

Looking at the website I expected this hotel to be in the middle of nowhere but it's not, it's right off the I40, yet it's really peaceful and quiet. The hotel has a gas station, restaurant, gift shop, Laundry machines (coin operated), swmimming pool, hot tub to name just a few things that you need. There really is no need to leave the place! The rooms were quite large and spacious, the beds were clean and comfy. The hotel is also only a 5-10 minute ride into Flagstaff. I would definitely recommend and if I visit Flagstaff again I would stay here.

Room Tip: Rooms are in 4 buildings, the first is nearest the facilities, and contains the laundry machines, 4...

We stayed here for one night with our two children. We were a little surprised when we arrived as the photos of the hotel look so rural and yet you are fairly close to the interstate. However, to be honest once you are in the hotel grounds you barely hear/ notice it. We asked for a quiet room and we were given a delightful double queen looking onto the forest. We loved our stay here. The children made great use of the delightfully situated outdoor pool and hot tub and we enjoyed a very
peaceful walk around their hiking trails which begin in the grounds and saw lots of wildlife. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with all the amenities you would expect. Although we didn't have dinner in the restaurant as we wanted to visit downtown Flagstaff, breakfast was lovely and service was good. We would have loved to stay longer and if we return we would certainly stay here.

Room Tip: It's lovely to face the forest and see squirrels outside your room.

We arrived about 7pm or so and walked right up to the desk to check in. The man checking us in was very friendly. We booked on priceline and had no issues at check in or check out... Got a VERY good deal for this hotel. We ended up on the second floor of lodge 4. The room and hallways were very clean but kind of smelled like my great aunt or grandmothers house..weird.. I thought it about mine,..but my husband said it...so we both knew that smell...it wasn't a horrible smell...just different... We didn't hear any noise through out the night from other rooms... The furniture in the rooms is old... Not old, like broken or busted.. Antique like. Things you would probably see at your grandparents.. All in all everything was fine... There is a 2 mile trail outside the hotel as well which we walked in the morning before check out..was nice and quiet amongst the ponderosas... Would definitely recommend and/or stay again....

We stayed here to meet up with Wildland Trekking for a guided tour to Havasu Falls in the Grand Canyon. With all the name brand hotels in Flagstaff we didn't really know what to expect and we were pleasantly surprised by Little America. Very friendly staff, wonderful Sports bar and grill, big, clean rooms, comfortable beds, and very reasonably priced (very competitive with big brand hotels in the area). I was training for a half marathon so the on property 2 mile trail through the pines was handy. Just remember, you are at significant elevation (6000+) and running will be more of a challenge than you might expect. Definitely one of the nicer hotels we have ever stayed at in this price range. Word must be out because they appeared very full both nights we stayed there.

Room Tip: If you have a lot of luggage, first floor close to one of the entrances would be nice.

We drove up to Flagstaff after visiting family in Phoenix.......what a beautiful respite we had amid the ponderosa pine tree forest! We had a room in Lodge 4 upstairs on the back corner and it was lovely. Sure, the French Provincial Decor is a little incongruous but this really is your grandfather's hotel, well built, speakman shower heads, beveled mirrors, solid wood doors, and upholstery galore. It reminded me of places I stayed with my parents in the early 60's, with gracious service, lots of space and attention to detail. So don't try to figure out what they're thinking with the decor, just go and enjoy the time warp amid the trees and be glad that there still are alternatives to the chain hotels that understand a traveler's need for quiet, space and nice surroundings. I would definitely stay there again.

Room Tip: Lodge 4 upstairs or down, facing the woods.
