For over 10 years, Trinity Episcopal Church in Buffalo has been offering an oasis of peace on Sunday nights at seven.
The service takes place in their smaller chapel, an incredibly beautiful and mediative space full of serenity.
It is a flowing combination of readings (usually poems, but excerpts from books, too), live jazz piano by Krista Seddon, meditation, candle lighting, and a short reflection.
Afterwards, we all gather in an informal way (think of a cocktail party of deep, inquiring souls), for refreshments and conversation.
If you have been looking for a community of people who want a spiritual but not religious connection, this is for you.
If you are visiting Buffalo and want to connect more deeply with its denizens, please join us.
The lighting is quite dim, so there's no fear of feeling scrutinized on your first visit.
Just come and experience the beauty before you start your week or continue your travels.
