We just returned from a three night stay at the downtown Buffalo Comfort Suites. I must say, the staff are courteous and work hard to make sure that your stay is memorable. Complimentary water and coffee at the front reception along with a great variety of movies to borrow for the dvd player in the room. Enjoyed the buffet breakfast each morning (complimentary). The spacious suite is great for our family with two television sets, microwave and mini bar fridge area. The bed and pillows are comfortable. Free parking. The front staff actually listening to what you planned on doing and offered great suggestions for activities in the area and restaurants with maps for easy directions. Can't wait to stay again on our next trip to Buffalo. Thanks again, Jennifer and staff.

Although this hotel is a great location to many for the summer festivals right downtown in Buffalo it's cleanliness, security and customer service is left to be desired. I was born and raised in the area and often go back for family events and I am embarrassed mostly by the lack of customer service being given to customers. Economy is tight and the downtown area is falling apart and when customers come and stay there it woul be expected that management should be thrilled and want to keep folks coming back. The one positive was that there was free water at the front counter (never any fresh baked cookies they claime to have) and the breakfast was halfway decent. Other than that it's not a great place for families or elderly traveling alone. The surrounding streets are not as safe as once were and the noise from the nearby clubs and firehouse may bother some. The hotel does post a security guard in the lobby when the sun goes down to help aleviate any impressions of an unsafe location but most nights this guard was sitting on the couch watching tv and texting on his phone. My biggest pet peeve is that when I went to check out on a tuesday morning (slow day at the hotel) I asked for a 45min late check out and was simply told "no." Even after the fact that two families who had adjoining rooms just spent 5 nights there at their highest rate! Very , very unprofessional. I would recommend other nearby locations to families looking to enjoy what the city has to offer. Or take the extra 15 mins and stay in the surrounding suburbs where customer service is often more professional and appreciative.

Room Tip: street side rooms are noisey with the night clubs and emergency vehicles constantly on calls.

I am very sorry you had a bad impression of downtown and the hotel. Like most downtown hotels in larger cities we do have weekend security officer and have exterior doors that lock and elevator key access. I am sorry you feel the hotel is rundown and dirty. We take great pride in our renovations and understand that a clean hotel is paramount as is attested in previous reviews. Please feel free to contact me if you want to shed any more details on where we can improve. Staff can always improve in customer service and point well taken on a late checkout. I will only assume that we were sold out and needed to clean the rooms.

We found ourselves needing a place to stay while a family member was a patient at Roswell Park Hospital. All the rooms are suites (as the name indicates). We received a Roswell discount which was very nice. The rooms are clean and modern. They have two flat screen TVs, small refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. The room was clean and well maintained. Front desk staff were friendly. The bigest downfall for this hotel is the parking. The parking is free but you have to park your car about a block away and walk. Not that big a deal but not very convenient either. Where you do park your car is in a parking garage that seems secure so I guess that is a plus. They provide a breakfeast, excersize room and a TGI Fridays within the building.

We stayed in downtown Buffalo to attend a Buffalo Bisons game at Coca-Cola field. Although downtown Buffalo has seen better days, the hotel was very nicely maintained. It is a bit inconvenient to have parking 1 block away, but at least it is available and you can load/unload the car at the front entrance. I was very pleased with our hotel room. The temperature was sweltering outside, but we were able to adjust the thermostat to cool off our room. The hotel hallways were too warm though. A free water bottle at the front desk was a nice amenity. The hours for breakfast could start a bit earlier on the weekend. We wanted an early start for our travels on Saturday but were told the breakfast didn't start until 7am.
The front desk staff were very knowledgeable, recommending we take the free tram down to the baseball park. It stops right outside the hotel and 1 block from the ballpark. That saved us the cab fare or walking. The morning clerk was also able to direct us to a nearby post office.

The hotel is lovely and appears to be either newly renovated or very well-maintained. Great amenities: located right downtown next to the free light rail; free parking; good wi-fi (slow at night); free breakfast with waffle-maker, eggs and bacon, etc., and two attendants to keep it filled and clean; 24-hour coffee in the lobby; even free bottles of water on request at the front desk. I came without a reservation late on a busy night with a discount coupon, and got the impression that the front desk staff had some discretion in accepting it -- which they did, and then were so friendly and helpful, I added a second night. Will definitely plan to stay here on future trips to Buffalo.

Just one block away from the Main Street in Downtown Buffalo. Sofa bed in the living room, so good for family with a kid or two. Breakfast service is pretty good. But the aircon in our room is a bit noisy.

Very easy to find with a small check-in parking lot, great location for show at Shea's or the arena. Check-in was fast & staff were knowledge & polite. Parking is off site in a secure, covered parking lot about 2 blocks away. Hotel gives you vouches to come in & out as many times as you like included in the nightly rate. Building is secured with elevators requiring your room key, business centre, etc. Room had a great lay out for family or 2 couples. Separate King bedroom with TV & door to washroom, large sitting room with double bed sofa, 2 extra chairs, TV and desk and coffee station with small refridge. Breakfast supplied; coffee, juice, ceral, bagels, muffins, toast, fruit, bacon, sausages, yogurt, & fresh made waffels, also included in the nightly rate.Check out was equally as fast & pleasant. Our bed was very comfortable & we specifically enjoyed the separate make-up area outside the washroom. Was easy for 2 people to be getting ready at once.
The only draw back was no pool!
