We purchased a Jaunt overnight deal for the Comfort Suites downtown Buffalo for $79 Cdn + about $11 U.S. taxes. We didn't have high expectations other than a decent sleep in a clean room as we went for shopping and we were pleasantly surprised. The suite had a king bedroom, a flat screen TV in both the bedroom and living room, a nice office area if you were on business, full bathroom with plenty of towels and some toiletries, an area with a small fridge, microwave and coffee machine. It was the size of a small 1 bedroom apartment! Parking was in a covered parking lot a couple of blocks away but the parking lot was well light and there was an attendant there 24/7. Parking was $5 for overnight and $10 if you wanted in/out which we didn't. Location was close to many restaurants/bars. We got there after dark and did not explore the area as it was cold. Guests were offered a breakfast - buffet style with eggs, sausage, toast, bagels, biscuits, sweet rolls, waffles, coffee/tea, juice, yogurt...more than enough. I would definitely return.

Room Tip: suggest an upper level room at the back of the hotel as there was noise from the main street

Checked in with Nigel in the dec 5. He made certain our room was correct as booked. Then we had the enjoyment of meeting Rich who drove us to and from shopping and offering many helpful tips!! Our bed was most comfortable with different types of pillows!!!
To end our stay, Lori made sure every possible item we needed was available for breakfast. Thank you to everyone!!!
We will be back for sure.
Best of all so convenient for airport parking!!!!

Myself, my partner and two friends, all in our 20s, stayed at the Comfort Suites Downtown Buffalo from Friday, November 29th to Saturday November 30th and absolutely loved our stay.

We arrived at our hotel an hour and a half ahead of check-in, as we thought that we might hit some Black Friday traffic at the border, and to our surprise, we were able to check-in early. The woman at the counter was super friendly and helpful, and you could tell that she loved her job. We had booked 2 rooms through Hotwire, about 2 weeks prior to our trip, and that didn't seem to be a problem whatsoever. We were even happier to find out that we had adjoining rooms! We were given 2 room cards per room and stayed on the 2nd floor.

The hotel is very small, quite convenient actually, as we never had to wait for the elevator. Our rooms were a mirror image of each other, each with a bathroom, living room, and a queen-sized bedroom. The rooms are nicer than they look in the photos, for sure. There was a tv in each room of the suite and considering we were traveling as a group, it was way better to have the living room, as opposed to the straight bedroom, as we were able to hang out on couches instead of beds.

Each room came with a coffee maker, fridge, microwave, desk, charging station, and mini-bar area. There were working hair dryers, make-up remover sheets, and toilettries in the bathroom. The bed itself was soooooo comfy - I basically melted in to bed and didn't wake up until it was time to go. There are frosted french doors to the bedroom, as well as a door to the bathroom on each side.

We got up for breakfast at around 9:30 and it was pretty packed, but we were able to find some food and bring it back to our rooms. There was fruit, oatmeal, bread, yogurt, cereal, and waffles, but the waffle line was large and we didn't want to wait.

We parked our car about a 5 minute walk away and it was $10 for the entire stay - and we were free to move it in and out throughout. The trolley at night is free, and although we did not take it, it was very convenient to get on from this hotel. T.G.I. Friday's is downstairs and was convenient for a nightcap during the cold weather - drinks were CHEAP. Other than a few little cheap places to eat around there, there were some clubs open and that was about it. Not the craziest of nightlifes there, but the area is called "Downtown" for a reason - definitely the business section of the city.

The staff throughout our stay, at check-in, throughout the night, breakfast, and upon departure, were very friendly and it really set the tone for the stay. The staff should be commended for their wonderful job at making us feel very welcomed.

I'd definitely stay here when in Buffalo again and look forward to it!

Glad you enjoyed your time with us. We are indeed the closest hotel to Shea's performing arts center, Irish Classical Theatre, and many other theatre and music venues.

4 of us stayed here while we were in town to attend a concert at Shea's Theatre. As it was a suite hotel, it was perfect for us. (of course the much younger couple had to sleep on the sleeper sofa). The hotel is centrally located to most venues in Buffalo. We were only a block away from the theatre so the walk was easy. The Tralf was also along the walk. Staff was courteous, security was commendable and having TGI Fridays in the building was perfect for pre- concert libations and post-concert food.

The complimentary breakfast served at Comfort Suites, downtown Buffalo, NY, is excellent, with nice variety of items. Breakfast server/attendent, Gwen, does a superb job. This is a very nice facility, clean, and well maintained. It is conveniently located downtown, across the street from famous Shea's theater.
