“Lovely B&B”
Reviewed 10 July 2014

Coffee, tea & HM cookies always available. They have an ice machine...nice & not always typical at a B&B. They offer wine tastings & tea but unfortunately never made it with our schedule.
Our room was a little tight, but very cozy. It's in a great location, a short walk, although downhill (and uphill upon return) on cobblestone walks to the center of town.
Lovely historic inn with lots of little details and charm. Great friendly and attentive staff. Decorated beautifully with both indoor & outdoor spaces. Very nice breakfast & they have their own parking lot which is key in Newport. Good WiFi. Great location. Definitely recommend!

Room Tip: Admiral Benbow room, a bit tight, but cozy & has a large window which is great for sun, but beca...

This was my first time in Newport, so I wanted to stay at a B&B close to town. Adele Turner Inn was a wonderful choice! The location was only two blocks from the main street with many shops and restaurants. My room was lovely; good condition, nicely decorated, very comfortable bed. It also had a fireplace that would be great in the fall! My room was a bit small, but I found it to be a comparable size to other B&Bs. The staff was excellent- friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was also very nice with several hot cooked to order options. I was in Newport for a wedding, so I had limited time outside of wedding activities and I did not have a chance to attend afternoon tea or evening wine tasting. I wish I could have stayed longer!

The Adele Turner Inn is ideally located on Historic Hill. We were able to walk to dinner both nights and to Thames St. to do some shopping. The owners are two of the nicest hosts we have met in our many B & B stays. I heartily recommend staying at the Adele Turner Inn, I know we will be back soon.

My daughter and I enjoy going to Newport once a year together. We enjoyed staying in the Adele Turner Inn very much. We enjoyed sitting on the porch with a bottle wine and relaxing. Walking to the resturants and shops was so convenient. Breakfast was enjoyable, we liked having our own table to sit at. We look forward to staying again next year.

Overall, we had a nice stay. Being 33 weeks pregnant, it was perfect walking distance. The room was very comfortable (Music Festivals Room), however it is called a bed and BREAKFAST, and this part was not good at all. There were three things on the menu, now of which I ate at all. But there were little muffins and fruit offered on the side board, although we did end up walking down the street for breakfast. We checked in late and found our key and letter outside, which was convenient. The next morning the innkeeper asked us as we were talking away if we had any questions, but not very friendly. Figured she was having a bad day, but the next morning, just as short and uninterested in her guests. She is very uncomfortable to talk to and not at all what I would consider to be someone who runs a B&B. The parking is tight, but nice to have considering all the cars on the street. The actual room is large and comfortable for two people, but the tv needs a new tv changer, it was very hard to use and did not work well, but it was fine for two nights. Overall, the distance to the main street where the shops and restaurants are cant be beat, especially if you like to walk or pregnant and need to be close, but probably wont be returning here.

Room Tip: Music Festivals Room was an excellent choice

The Adele Turner is a beautiful old building in the nicer part of Newport. The rooms all have their own character and despite being an old building seems to have all the amenities. I am not sure if it has air con though but the time of year we were there, this did not matter.

The tea and coffee available all night round down stairs was a nice touch, as were the home made cookies. Breakfast was cooked to order and was very nice with reasonable portions. The eggs on crab cakes were lovely and the service was excellent. Definitely gets my vote.
