My husband and I were looking for a place to celebrate our 19th Wedding Anniversary...we couldn't have asked for a more romantic place in the Clarkeston. When we arrived Rick the owner welcomed us and genuinely wanted to make our stay the best we had ever experienced. It had been a few years since we had stayed at the Wynstone (another of the Inns of Newport properties) and the experience was better than we remembered. This was our first stay at the Clarkeston and after reading the reviews, we thought we had stayed at a different inn. The accommodations were warm and inviting. Our breakfast was made exceptionally every morning by Monika (best breakfast in Newport). The room was warm, comfortable and relaxing. We stayed in the Ezra Stiles room which is located on the 3rd floor. Rick asked several questions upon check in to determine our perfect accommodations. He was totally on point when he decided on Ezra Stiles. It was perfectly located and accommodated our needs. We have never experienced such attention to detail as at all of the Inns of Newport. They think of everything to ensure your stay is more than what you expected.
