The food was fine. Unfortunately, the service or rather lack of it was enough to ruin the experience. The problem was that the restaurant was seriously understaffed and the waiter and his assistant were unable to manage the work load. Two people trying to manage meals for 24 people in an upscale restaurant just doesn't work. This is unacceptable in a restaurant in this price range. Even worse, complaints to the owner's wife, who was running the front of the house, were met with complete indifference. It's too bad.
