Located at 140 Thames Street across from the Brick Market Place in Downtown Newport the Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant offers a warm and cozy fireplace in the winter and comfortably air-conditioned dining rooms in the summer. The Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant specializes in a blend of flavorful steaks, fresh local seafood, pastas, and seasonal specials. This wine list features over 250 different vintages and has received the Wine Spectator Award for Excellence. Open for lunch and dinner, Brick Alley Pub & Restaurant accepts reservations and offers an upstairs function room that can accommodate up to 170 people. We came late, around 8:45 or 8:30, and we had to eat a bit even though we saw several open tables. I will say that we were pleasantly surprised with the chicken piccata. You don’t expect that to be something a pub would do well with, but it was super tasty. My husband’s chicken parm was flavorful but the chicken was really thick and could’ve been pounded down more.

You can't go wrong at the Brick Alley. For a place with an enormous menu, it is incredibly consistent. Downstairs is full of seemingly random found objects, which makes a visit an adventure. Great for kids. Great beer selection. The waits can be long-ish, but on a nice night, worth it (you may have to stand outside).

The service and food here were super! The salad bar (yes there is a salad bar in the pub) was fresh and good. We split the nachos....WOW!!! A very large portion and really delicious. We had a very attentive and friendly waitress. And I must mention, the bathrooms were super clean. A clean bathroom says a lot about a restaurant! A+

Our work team selected Brick Alley upon suggestion by our hotel concierge, and we were so pleased with this choice. The menu options were excellent and most entrees included their salad bar. Great portion sizes and prices! The decor was fun and initiated lots of fun conversation.

I make it a point to stop in here every time I visit Newport. The food is always excellent!! The lobster club sandwich and ahi tuna appetizer are delicious. Quick service and great atmosphere.
