Spent last weekend in this inn for a girls bithday get-away.
Stayed in the spacious Easton Room with two very comfortable, well-dressed queen beds. This room was decorated simply, so it was very relaxing and homey, not over-the-top frilly victorian. Windows on two sides, one with a view of a small courtyard which was pretty in the snow. Small but nice bathroom. Immaculate.
Innkeepers, Janet and Phil Peckinpaw, were very friendly and had a nice, laid-back style, without sacrificing service. You'd never know they had just started out as innkeepers in May.
The inn is in a great location, in walking distance to the waterfront shops and restaurants, as well as Bellevue Avenue.
Loved the wine and cookies each evening after a day of touring.
Breakfast each morning was lovely, with beautiful fresh fruit salad, muffins and breads, as well as hot "dish of the day".
This was such a nice experience for us, that we would not even consider any other accomodations on a return trip to Newport, unless they are run by the Peckinpaws.
