Where can you go and get a full dinner, meatloaf, real mashed potato and fresh green beans - on the wharf $6.50. I got the last plate, sold out in a flash and I know why. Great choice, homemade soup, hot meals and great mission.

The Aloha Cafe is located with in the Seaman's Institute and Church in Newport, RI.
and is located in the harbor district on Market Square in Newport. This is only steps away from the Marriott and Wyndham Long Wharf . A great cup of coffee, bacon , egg and cheese on a muffin will only cost you about $5.

The Aloha Cafe is situated with the building at 18 Market Square which also house a library, a chapel and office areas.

Public bathrooms are available in the basement. If you need to take a shower or do laundry, tokens are available for purchase.

While in Newport you will undoubtedly see many expensive homes, yachts, etc. If you bring children to Newport this would make a great stop to teach them the importance of taking care of everyone.

The organization focuses mainly on residents who are connected to the sea, and offers numerous programs and services for individuals and families in the area, including help with financial issues or referrals, and also scholarships for those seeking a maritime job. Doors are open to the public 365 days a year. Seamen’s Church Institute relies on the support of the community through donations and patronage at the Aloha Cafe.

The building is on the National Historic Registry

The A'Sloha does a great job. It just takes a while. I am partial to the Ham & Brie sandwich. Love it, get it weekly.
