“Great Luau with great price”

I'm sure most Luau shows are very similar with similar food but the Hale Koa show had the best price and was walking distance from the Hilton. Make reservations early for best seating. We sat right up front which made it just that much more special. Line to get in gets long so get there a bit early and enjoy the complementary drink (and maybe a few more from the bar). there is live music beforehand with paid crafts (coconut palm weaving and lai making) and they take photos which they offer for sale after dinner. Dinner service is a bit rushed, so don't delay eating or your plate will leave the table!

Had no idea it would be so great! We were lucky enough to sit front and center, and 3 to 77 year olds were mesmerized. Get there early if you want to do the before dinner activities, because it is PACKED. But once you sit down, you are taken away. The food was even good and plentiful. Also, it is the best luau deal in Waikiki. But you may have to be military to participate.

I think you have to be military affiliated for this event so I'm sorry if you are not. This was a spectacular evening! Everything was wonderful from the reception at the door to the final moment! The service, the food, the entertainment! Amazing! Thank you Hale Koa for offering such a wonderful attraction for our service members. We sure do appreciate it!!!

We are currently stationed in Guam, and have seen these performances there. When you walk in, you are leied with a shelled lei and handed a beverage (non-alcoholic or alcoholic). Then there are stations set-up for you to observe palm weaving, leis and other cultural crafts. Once the host starts speaking on the main stage, you can start on the available appetizers on the ends of the table. Food is served in two courses after that while being entertained. My husband and I had sat in the back, so after we were done eating, a waitress had moved us up closer. Very considerate. This show is most definately for the military, mil families and retirees! Beautiful ending, too.

We enjoyed this luau - many interesting demonstrations before the actual show. One free drink as you enter, additional ones available for purchase at fairly reasonable prices. The food was good, not great. As others have mentioned you had to get your own water or tea but not a big deal to me. For the price, this luau provides a lot of entertainment and you may just get to be a part of the show.....I did!
