Wow you can really spend a lot of time here! You can go on a tour with a guide for free and they have a lot of cool information so I suggest it! It’s only 30 minutes and then you’re free to wander after that. We did the main level first and then went down the stairs which was cool but easy to lose people so stay together. Then you can go up to the higher levels. Lots of cool history and I’m not even really a museum person

It is quite moving to be able to stand in the actual spot where the end of WWII ended. Highly recommended.

We first went to see the Arizona memorial but that was just a sail past as the actual one above the ship is closed for repair, this is something we knew before leaving the UK ,we paid for the trip to see the mighty mo before we left home, it's a short bus ride across to Ford Island where the ship is, it was fairly busy but not a problem, you can take the organized tour or just wonder about on your own, we did the latter, lots to see and nobody rushes you as the return bus ride is whenever you want to go,plenty of fast food outlets on the quay side, plus rest rooms, well worth tbe visit

An hour or more can be spent with a free tour and then wandering around areas of this massive ship at your leisure. From going into battle in the pacific, the dent on the deck from a kamikaze plain attack to the accomodation areas. The site of the signing the the Japanese surrender make this a must see.

Our guide was tremendous. Been a long time since history class but this brought it to life. You felt like you were on deck during the surrender signing ceremony. Worth the time and money. We did the Missouri before the film and tour around Arizona. Stop at kiosk on way in to “plan your trip” - much to see and learn and most of it is free.
