“Great Hike”
Reviewed 4 July 2014 via mobile

Arrived at Diamond Head around 2pm. It was $5 to park the car and finding a space was not an issue. Aside from the hiking trail being a little packed, along with pretty warm weather, it was a very pleasant hike. Beware of the T-shirt scam on the way down. He will represent himself as a park employee, but he is not. The park does not sell certificates and t shirts.

“Bit of a trek but the view is worth it”
Reviewed 4 July 2014

A walk the to top of diamond head crater is a must if you are staying in Waikiki. Not for anyone who is really unfit or has trouble walking. Go really early in the morning to avoid the heat and take water with you. Good shoes are best as the track is quite uneven most of the way. Its quite challenging but the view is breathtaking from the top. Is quite an achievement to do this walk and if you do the walk early then you deserve to treat yourself to a big breakfast afterwards.

“Must do on visit to Oahu”
Reviewed 4 July 2014

It was an easy hike for our family and the view at the top was amazing. It is hard to believe how big it is until you are there. It was worth the $5 parking in the crater.

“Fantastic views”
Reviewed 3 July 2014

We left the hotel in Waikiki on foot and made our way up Diamond Head. Started out around mid morning, and we were thankful for a few passing showers as the day was heating up. Quite a crowded track in places, and it is a must to wear good footwear. Many people wearing sandals and thongs, and would struggle to get to the top. The views are magnificent and 360 degrees at the summit. Must do activity. Recorded the walking distance on Map My Walk from the hotel (Courtyard Marriott) round trip = 16km. Set your alarm and start out early, so you aren't walking in the hottest part of the day.

“A Nice Hike Up with a Wonderful View”
Reviewed 3 July 2014

We hiked up Diamond Head and were able to enjoy the wonderful views. It didn´t take long, under an hour but there is some rocky terrain, a couple of semi-dark narrow tunnels to go through, and some steep stairs to climb so make sure you will be able to do all that before you go. Three generations hiked it, from a small child to a senior and we were all able to do it so it really wasn´t that hard. Be sure to take water, though, and I would also recommend that you go during the morning hours, the earlier the better, so the sun won´t be so hot. The views at the top are amazing so it is worth the hike.
