“Convenient location but no room service”
Reviewed 23 November 2013

My husband and I basically stayed here for the location. It is right in the heart of the city so close to everything! When I say close, I mean walking distance.

I wouldn't rate the hotel as being fantastic for the price you pay but its great for location convenience. They don't have room service. Not even a bottle of water and if you want water you have to walk down to the car park level... that's what I was told.

Other than no room service, honestly there is nothing wrong with this hotel. The staff are very friendly and we didn't have any problems.

Room Tip: I can't really comment as I don't know what the other rooms are like but if you are anything...

Dear Mishi90,

Thank you for taking the time to write us a review regarding your recent stay. I am pleased to know that our location was convenient for your needs and you found our staff to be friendly. However, it is regrettable that the unavailability of room service impacted your visit. We appreciate your feedback as this is our best resource for improving guest services.

We stayed here in Nov and had an enjoyable holiday. Staff were friendly and nothing was a problem. Nice and handy to everything, great location. Valet parking was abit expensive. Had dinner one night at Jimmy Buffet's, never again. Service was slow and food wasn't that great, and overpriced. Save your money and go across the road to The Cheesecake Factory. I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: We stayed on the 5th floor, so it was easier and quick getting in and out of the lifts.

So I've stayed here for work plenty of times.

Generally speaking this hotel is OK. Not the greatest for over $200 / night.

What got me was that I'm on the 7th floor working and a cockroach climbs the wall in front of me.

A little concerning.

The parking is pretty bad at $30 / night. I hate valet because I have to tip the guy/gal a few bucks on top of the $30 / night I'm already dropping. This adds up over the week.

Hearing all the crap going on in the market sucks from 7 floors up. The rooms dont seem that quite when I can hear every ding of the elevator.

Meh for $200+ I would choose somewhere else if I didn't have to stay here.

Although I was only here a day I met a lot of friendly travelers who stayed many times at this property. It seemed to be in an amazing location, lots of shopping, restaurants, and night life. Walking distance to the beach, and has a great pool that wasn't too crowded! Staff was extremely nice and helpful! I would come back for sure!!!!!

We stayed for 5 nights in an ocean view room on level 21 overlooking the international market place. We were happy with the room and the location is great, right in the middle of everything. Staff were helpful with the requests we had and nothing was a problem. On occasion it could be a bit noisy and if your planning to stay here in 2014, be mindful that this place is right next to the international marketplace with many rooms overlooking the space which will be a construction site next year due to the new department store going in. Overall the hotel was perfect for us who wanted a great location without paying too high a price per night.

Room Tip: As always, the higher the floor the better the view!

Stayed here for 5 nights on our way back to Australia from the US. We were happy with everything the hotel had to offer:
The location is the best bit, right across from the beach but on the main strip of shops. The cheesecake factory is right across the road and although it does get busy, the food is awesome.

Jimmy's Buffet downstairs offers a pretty good breaky for about $13 and then you get a discount if your staying in the hotel. It is right next to the pool which was always clean and the spa was nice n hot!

The rooms are spacious and the air con works well. If you are a light sleeper the noise may bother you so ask for a room high up but we had no trouble sleeping after massive days exploring the islands.

Service was good, front office staff could be a little more enthusiastic, James from the Expedia travel tour desk was fantastic! everything we needed, he could arrange for us!
