“Great position,views and spacious condo”
Reviewed 12 February 2011

With a family of 6 this place was perfect. The decor was '80s but if that doesnt bother you, you will enjoy the Waikiki Park Heights! Only 1 bathroom to service 3 bedrooms was a bit tight, but managed for 10 days. Aircon did not work well ans July is very hot, so be prepared for little sleep in the heat...they need to fix up aircon! Great place for families! Loved it.

#1508 was clean, simple, priced fairly and an excellent place for enjoying Waikiki. View of surf was sufficient to see wave conditions. Pretty quiet considering central location. Good security. Rental agent, Jeanne Hearn at Scully Rodgers made sure everything was correct and was a tremendous help when we had a family emergency on the mainland. Highly recommmended.

Stayed at Waikiki Park Heights 706 with girlfriend/partner......we surf and so we loved
the quick walk to Kuhio Beach for surfing. Several shops and beach stands rent boards,
and Waikiki Pk Hgts has a surfboard storage room if you prefer to bring your board. This
unit overlooks the pool, and has a fair amount of ocean view too--big advantage is , unlike many pricey hotels, the ocean view is head on and not sideways. Big balcony too
Salt water pool is wonderful--no chlorine odor and feels GREAT
This unit has beautiful wood floors and tropical look glass & rattan dining set.
OH, just across street in KV condo bldg is a cheap internet room.....no real need to
bring laptop if this is still open.
Parking garage private for this bldg is private, so no hassle w/parking if yo0 take 706
or another unit that owns a parking space. But, this location is close to so many great
dining spots--even cheap sushi across street--not much need for a car plus bus stop
is right out front. HY'S Steak House grnd level--best high end food in town!!!
Bldg sits back from Kuhio Ave so traffic noise minimal . Rented via Scully Rogers at
[--].....nice lady named Jeanne

Unit 1811 worked out really well for us. It was a small 1BR condo with a full pullman kitchen with all stuff included (glasses, pans, dishes, etc). There were only 2 of us, so while we relaxed in the combo kitchen/LR/DR to watch TV some evenings, it was just fine. The lanai had a perfect view of the beach and surfers near the Duke statue. All that we needed was within a few mins walk. The condo is right off Kuhio St - which is busy with buses and traffic, but being on the 18th floor, there was no street noise. Plus, Kuhio is a commercial street so there were less expensive food options than the tourist strip by the beach a couple of blocks away. The free parking was great - so we opted to drive 5+ mins to Safeway, but you could walk to the local (and more expensive) Food Pantry. There is a satisfactory laundry room in the basement. My only complaint was the internet access. There is no wifi from the condo (lobby has access for a fee). I tried getting the Skywave connection, but my laptop couldn't access the fee-based service (not a tech issue since I picked up signals elsewhere). I went with GeoWireless and could only get it from the hallway outside the front door. That was inconsistent, inconvenient and very frustrating. But, if you don't need internet access, then this place really is a great value. We much preferred staying in a condo for 10 days than staying in a hotel. The late checkout option (7pm) for $50 was terrific for our 8pm car rental return time. The folks were easy to work with via email and no contact was needed during our stay. Also, if you want to rent surf boards for more than a day, then go to Koa Board Sports - good rates, really good boards for rent and they store your board for free!

My family of 5 (children ages 17,14 & 9) stayed at the Waikiki Park Heights for 10 days in April 2009. Having travelled to Oahu 3 times before this visit I can honestly say I have not stayed in a hotel/condo that had a better view (21st floor) of Waikiki Beach - but I must also add that I have stayed in moderate priced hotels, not 5 star. This 3 bedroom condo had a king bed in the master, twin beds in the second bedroom and a queen in the 3rd bedroom (which had a sliding wall to separate it from the living room). This bedroom also had a lanai (balcony) which faced the ocean. The building is old, I think about 34 years. The condo was clean and came with everything to make our holiday complete. We found boogie boards in the closet, along with beach chairs. Free internet was included with our rental and we had parking on site for just over $5 a day. (Which in Waikiki is great - I have paid as much as $21 a day.) The condo had two lanais that faced the ocean. We were about 2.5 blocks from the beach. I could literally see my family walking back along the street. The rental had no dishwasher, but did come with a washer and dryer - with 3 kids that came in handy. There was one washroom with a toilet and sink and one bathroom with a sink and tub/shower. I booked this condo through www.waikikiparkheights.com Very nice lady!
