This zoo is great! It's not the biggest, but it feels much larger than it is. The animals seem to have lots of space to explore, and there is a great variety of animals to see. This is a great way to spend a couple of hours in Honolulu.

This zoo is quite a bit smaller than some I have been to; ie the Philadelphia Zoo, but it is very nice. I really love the "rock walls" in the walkways. The kids loved the playground at the end, but then that's all they were interested in. Since it is right next to Waikiki Beach, parking was rather a nightmare especially after walking through the whole zoo with two small children and an 84 year old!

Its not a massive zoo, but it has some really great animals on display and is very well maintained. A few of the exhibits are being upgraded, but there is still plenty to see here. My son really loved running around and its not too busy here either, and you can get through everything in a couple of hours. We loved that there was also a kids play area to burn a little more energy too. A great little attraction well suited to younger kids and being in the heart of Waikiki its super easy to walk to and well worth a visit.

Visiting Oahu for the first time we decided to bring out toddler to the Zoo. It was a good experience. The zoo is easy to navigate and you don't have to walk far between exhibits. Seeing the sleeping hippos up close was pretty cool. The weather was nice and the scenery was great.

This zoo is easy to see in just a few hours. The new Keiki section (for kids) is really cute. My 2-year old had a great time there. I've been to this zoo several times and it has never been very crowded. It feels very natural with peacocks and other birds roaming freely. The price is an exceptional value for what you get.
