If you are staying in Waikiki, this museum is just a short bus ride away, with the stop right at the front door. For $10 you will be treated to the beautifully displayed world art, with an unforgetable selection of unique Asian artifacts. The building itself is a pure delight, with several charming courtyards, a great cafe, and an interesting store. In July 2012, we saw a fascinating exhibit on tattoo, featuring its history, instruments used through the centuries, and a display of greater-than-life photographs of people whose skin is a piece of art. Sadly (and thankfully), not many people were there, so the visit was very relaxing and meditative... don't miss it!
