We went there because we joined the whale watching tour, the terminal was just the nearby. After we finished the tour, had lunch at hooters, we went for a walk...and yes, just a walk cuz shops were 90% closed. If you are planning to visit Hawaii...I do think you have no regret if you skip this.

Our cruise left from here, its a very interesting place, clean and nice design but there are no shops, its kind-of sad as it would have had great potential and been great when everything was open.

Purchased by the Hawaiian Pacific University all the stores are shut down. It use to be such a fun place. They are expanding Ala Moana Mall and my favorite store "Crazy Fish" is now located at the Hawaiian Hilton (there are two locations there). VERY SAD!!!

For some reason they are shutting down the entire area (according to local employee) so most stores and restaurants are gone - makes the place feel like a ghost town - sad as it's quite a pretty place.

We went up and took some pics. It is a pretty view from up there. We then walked around the piers and really enjoyed seeing all the beautiful fish right up by the piers. Spent a long time watching them and the crabs and feeding the fish all the cookies and crackers in my purse. One of our more favorite memories of our trip.
