“Nice place nice people”
Reviewed 14 August 2014 via mobile

We are staying in two condominium one for my parents and one for my husband and I. When we first step out of rental car we were treated like royalty. A personal note with cookies was waiting for us in our room (mom got the cookies but no note) then we got a call to make sure the room was comfortable. Our suit cases were there before us the young man ( forgot his name) offered to take my parents suitcase to there rooms and retrieved several other items for them no question asked. He was so nice! John was also good at the front desk! Could not ask for anything better!
One bad thing very minor not enough room on the counter space in the bathroom

Angie H. The Ilikai Hotel & Suites ~ ~ Definitely a great location, with a genuine "Aloha- Spirit" welcome! Was on a brief business trip this time, but am a repeat guest having traveled from the outer islands. It's consistently clean and comfortable with an unpretentiously relaxing atmosphere making it a destination to look forward to, ~ providing a "home-away-from-home feeling." Have always found the staff to be genuinely helpful & professional.

Stayed in an oceanfront room (680 sq ft) newly-renovated, on 5th floor, with kitchen. So quiet, so relaxing, and so well-appointed. Excellently located back from the hectic scene of the beach and traffic on Ala Moana Blvd. We long for another chilled out week in this place, our fave accommodations on Oahu.

Clean, comfortable hotel in a great location near to shopping, sea and sand. Minutes walking distance to downtown Honolulu and designer shopping stores and eateries. Family friendly, not for pets. Parking across the street behind Red Lobster for $20.00 per day.

I have been twice to the Ilikai and found the hotel to represent the true aloha feeling, yep its a classic and there are newer kids on the block but this is one of the grand dames of hotels and you feel it when you pull up to the driveway. the views are stunning the staff warm and delightful and they play vintage Hawaii 5-O in the lobby. never hesitate to return, the place just keeps getting better.

Room Tip: the hotel is in the shape of a giant Y 2/3 of the rooms are facing water, but all have nice views. S...

We had a private vacation rental here that works out excellent value compared to a hotel stay. You get the hotel facilities for less money. The only thing missing is wifi and room service. If you want to be away from all the noise of downtown Waikiki then this is a great spot, but it is a bit of a walk if you are constantly wanting to dine etc down the other end of town. Hotel is a little dated but everything in Waikiki generally is.

Booked this with Marina Hawaii Vacations for 6 nights in July 2014. Best view you can imagine, especially to see the 4th of July Fireworks. The view is over the lagoon and marina. Jaw dropping stuff! The unit is very well decked out, with all appliances needed. Only issue is it gets very hot and air-conditioning didn't handle it at all. Clean and spacious and very quiet.
The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms great.
Walking distance to beach, ala moana and all other essentials in Waikiki.
We used the lagoon for swimming, canoeing etc and the beach further over for swimming.
Only issue was that it took over an hour to check in after a 11 hour flight from Melbourne, so that was a big disappointing. This was in the level 2(?) office.

Room Tip: Go for the corner rooms, great view and quieter.
